Resolutions for Others??

I have to share this. January 1st my mom and I usually do the resolution walk, a 5K walk. So because we weren't in Edmonton for the actual walk this year, we went for a 3K walk down the mountain. On our walk we got to talking about the board and about new years resolutions and she said it would be fun to find out what resolutions people would make for OTHERS in their family! I thought that would be hilarious!
So if you could make a New Year's Resolution for a friend or family member what would it be?

Oh fun!!!
That every member of my family would brush twice a day and floss at least once a day!
Now, no my family doesn't have horrible dental habits and only one of my children has cavities which has more to do with a deficiency during my pregnancy than bad dental habits. I'm just a little obsessive compulsive about my own teeth and since I go nuts taking care of my own it kind spills onto other people. For my son's birthday I got him a new electric tooth brush, dental floss, plaque control mouth wash, spare heads for his electric tooth brush. Because a few months after he moved out this last year he started having dental problems!!!
More specific,
DH would try more new foods
DD Layla would relax a little, be more affectionate and not take everything so personal
DD Noel needs to be a little toned down in her opinions. Don't get me wrong I love her passion for issues but could see her sticking her foot in her mouth before she has all the facts.
DS, TO GET A JOB AND KEEP IT!!!!
Then finally Sidney only that she loves her mommy more and gives her a gazillion hugs and kisses every day.
First of all Miranda - I checked out your blog and love it so far! I love being a little nosy and seeing snippets of other people's lives :-)
....great idea Miranda-- though would they follow them? LOL
Mine would be:
....this is a lot harder than I thought it would be- I can't think of any others.
Well for the time being ;-)

If only they could read our minds! I definitely understand the gossipping thing. That is a definite one.
SIL #1 - stop being jealous of everyone since that is the main reason why she has difficulty with all relationships! Needs to appreciate what she has and not worry about what she dosen't have.
SIL #2 - be open to others opinions and not always think she is right.
DD #1 & 2- Always do their best and be a kid.
DH - just continue being a considerate loving hubby!
MIL - To see what SIL #1 is really like!!! Not be so blind.
Dad- good health.
Mom - not worry too much.
That's it!!
This question was harder than I thought!
Hmmmm, I think it might be hard to get them to follow OUR resolutions, IG, you're right! LOL
For Sis - that she start being able to compromise and not be so angry about others.
For Brother - that he get his life together and stop acting like a 20 year old now that he's 30.
For Mom - that she stops trying to be busy every second of the day, and just relax and let others around her relax.
For Dad - that he finds some passion to occupy his time.
For my son - that he works harder at developing friendships and tries to be a bit more outgoing and get out of the house more.
All in all though I wish everyone in my family a happy, healthy 2007!!
