Which Scale to buy?

I normally weigh myself at the gym, but really enjoyed being able to weigh myself in the morning and in the nuddy; granted I weigh myself in my pants, but I can't really it do at the break of dawn due to the gym hours. So long story short and to stop the vision I am sure most of you poor souls are gaining, I am hoping to get a new scale for our bathroom. Here are a few things I have noticed whilst away, mechanical seems to be far better than mechanical. We had a clear, what I think is the weight watchers, digital scale in China and the thing would fluctuate by a kg or two whilst standing on it. The next one I tried in England was also about a kg off. I just want a scale that will tell me how much I weigh and one that is perhaps closest to the scale at the gym, which is one of those tall, medical ones.

So any suggestions? I am really confused. Granted it might be a good idea to leave the weigh ins at the gym, since it gives me an extra reason to go!

My parents had a doctor's (medical) scale for years at their house and it seemed so accurate. I question the accuracy of the digital scales I've used. My sister has one and I have one, and I always weigh less on my sister's. So which one is right? I also noticed that the last time I went to the doctor, I weighed less (even in clothes) on the doctor's scale than I had been weighing at home on my digital scale. I take it all with a grain of salt now and I'm paying more attention to the general trend upwards or downwards.

Monet- do you have a 'Boots' near you? Last summer when I was in Ireland I hopped on their scale- I think it was about 1euro to use....got the weight, my bmi, etc....and it printed out where I should be, and a suggested calorie intake too. It was pretty cool. You could do that, and then find a scale that matches that weight (or as close to it) and use it then at home. Personally I use the 'cheap' one I have and just work on the poundage of up and down on it, for actual weight I do it at school on the 'doctor' scale we have there!

In all honesty I have a plain ol' cheapo scale. LOL What I do use it for is to get a general idea of whether I'm going up or down in weight.

So I'm a little less concerned about accuracy and just use it to follow my weight trend.
