Alright so we're all looking to tone, lose weight/inches, improve in some way....and we know there are no magic pills for this. However, I'm sure along our journeys we've all found some form of exercise (whether it has been sit ups on the ball, bicep curls, etc...) that truly worked for us.

What's one move you've used/done that really did work wonders?

Well, I have to say there are a few moves that I can definitely feel working in the classes I'm taking:

The Plank. An oldie, but a goodie - as long as you are in the proper position (no sagging or bums in the air) this is a great all around move that you can do just about anywhere, and you can really feel it working. Also do the side plank, which I hadn't really done before, where you lie on your side, lean on your elbow, and push up so that your body is raised off the floor. This works the obliques like you wouldn't believe!

Tie a resistance band into a loop, and put it around your ankles. Now put your legs shoulder width apart, and simply step widely to one side, and then back, and then to the other side. Keep your knees slight bent, and you should feel this one in your butt! I know when we were doing it, my butt was absolutely burning by the end!

One of my favorite moves, and one I've seen results with is using resistant bands too. I have a set that came with a Leslie Sansone walk, and they really did help tone my upper arms! Seriously, for years I didn't even bother with tank tops because of my arms, now I wear them all the time :-)

Nobody else have some 'moves' to share??

The good ol' push-up, another great one! That variation does sound like a killer ;-)

I'll be doing some ball work in a while; I'll make sure to add in some push-ups (can't remember if they are part of the actual workout, so will add them if they're not)!

all variations of planks, side planks and pushups - my obliques and shoulders never looked so good

and lunges lunges lunges! nothing brings out those rear smiley faces like lunges
and I can't forget squats - I don't use weights with lunges or squats because my thighs are muscular enough - just need to firm the backside

Love it "rear smiley faces" LOL- yes, I'm with you on toning the rear end!! Walking is another simple one that can help achieve that!

Rebecca, that's too funny about the "I am beautiful, worth it,....." etc, I did the same thing. It does work!! Yoga is great for stretching out places that don't get stretched enough. Thanks for your moves ;-)
