Hey Cher......how about some nuts?? Cashews aren't especially noisy, plus you could bring some granola mix too. Or even prepare an orange before class, and chew on that- will also help with thirst ;-)
Let's see-
Any of them appeal?

Hey Cher - to piggy back on IG's idea - how bout a homemade trail mix with nuts, raisins, dried fruit?
Welcome Kolei!
Cher, how about dried fruit? Sunflower seeds (the shelled kind)? Grapes?
If it is more of a fidgety thing, then I would suggest bringing something non-food to keep your fingers busy. Like maybe a string, paper clips, something to keep your fingers busy without building a new food association. If you start building habits of simply occupying yourself with food, it may end up being something you turn to regardless of whether you are hungry or not.
My 13 yr old DD has ADHD. She is not a nail biter but she fidgets and taps and hums! She carries a small ball of plastic craft cord to play with and chew on - they're not allowed food or gum in class - to occupy her hands and mouth so she doesn't drive everyone else nuts.
First, thank you to everyone who suggested ideas. This helps me a lot. And thank you Miranda for suggesting NON-food items (and a few others too) so that I won't have a "figety/food" association. I just need to figure out if it's a fidgety thing, or a mouth/fidgety thing. ugh.
As a few ppl suggested....how about non-food things to keep me busy at school?
I have a pen, that clicks to open/close. VERY bad idea. lol. I tend to play with that.
Anything else?
I love the non-food idea......
Cher- are you getting bored, or are you hungry? Perhaps addressing the why is what you also need to do here- just reread your initial post. Seems your more bored than hungry.

Or......put that icky-smelly stuff on your nails if all else fails. Or perfume (tastes gross!!), and I even read somewhere about rubbing garlic on your nails (and it helps harden them- bonus!)
~that help?? LOL
