Found this over at about.com
Stay Committed

It has an article to go along with it:

But thought this was a great thing to print out and use for motivation. (I especially like the consequence section!!)

The Challenge

If you find that you're not motivated to keep going because you're not losing weight fast enough, I have a few challenges for you.

IG, this is a GREAT exercise! I realized going through these questions, that while I always say I have issues with rewarding myself with food, I don't really put any consequences in place if I DON'T do something either - which is equally important. I need to find a way to reward myself with non-food items, and put some consequences in place for when I don't meet my goals.

I am definitely going to print those questions off!

I really liked the consequence idea too Miranda- especially the rub your SO's foot--- would definitely make me get those workouts in if I had that consequence lined up.....and if I had an SO lol!!!

Excellent article! I'm going to print it out as well. I love that it talks about non-weight loss reasons to exercise ... my #1 reason that I stop exercising is weighing myself after a couple weeks and finding I haven't lost anything. Then I think, what's the point, it's not "working," etc. But there are so many other important reasons to exercise besides weight loss.

I agree with you both about the "consequences" too ... LOL. In fact I have used this one - I don't get to watch Sex and the City at 10 p.m. (my nightly ritual)
