anyone have a frozen fruit cup recipe?

HI
I made frozen fruit cups for my kids, but they have 2 cups sugar to 1 cup water as the base. I've heard you can use diet 7 up, but I"m not sure how much to put it. Here's the recipe -
2 c sugar
1 c water (boiled together
10 oz frozen strawberries (with sugar)
4-6 bananas
1 can crushed pineapple
1 can apricots with syrup (cut up)
I'd like to make a lighter version for us, but I'm not sure how much pop to add or if it works. I've looked online, but I haven't found anything yet.
Thanks,
Ann

Welcome to the board Ann! I've never made frozen fruit cups, but I see that IG has posted a few links to sites that might have the answer. Let us know if you find a particularly yummy one!!
If anyone is interested, here's one recipe I found online that should be fairly low cal. I might try to mix the recipe I have with this one (I'd have to add 1 can apricots)
FROZEN FRUIT SLUSH
4 c. water
1 (6 oz.) can orange juice
1 can diet Sprite
1 pkg. sugar free lemonade
2 bananas, diced
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 qt. strawberries, diced
Mix all ingredients. Add Sprite last. Divide into 20 paper cups and freeze.
So does that end up like
Ohhhhh, I see. Once it gets a bit warmer here I'm going to have to try that!
