Good morning all. My name is Rebecca. I am going to be 34 on Tuesday. I am a stay at home mom to four dds, ages 9,7,3, and 9 weeks. My dh is a wonderful man and we've been married 12 years.
I am about 25 lbs. overweight, 15 of which I've kept from my last pregnancy. I am sick of looking at myself being this fat and being in these big clothes. I try to hide my body. I am short, so weight shows up easily. I am uncomfortable - I can tell it's too much weight just by the way I feel.
I want to slim down and get in shape. I don't kid myself that I am going to look like a size 2 super model - that's just not gonna happen. But I want to feel better and I don't want to let this weight affect my health. I want to be a good example for my girls.
My first big obstacle is that I am an emotional/evening snacker. 4:00 hits and I am a chow hound. Secondly, it's very difficult to find time to exercise.
I am anxious to hear from some of you, and hear your stories of struggles or success. I am hoping that I will be able find some motivation and acccountability through friends here.
Rebecca

Hi Rebecca!
Hi!
I agree...I have to get out of the house to workout and be accountable to someone right now or I tend to skip more than I should.
Hi Rebecca and Welcome to the Board! I KNOW you've got your hands full but hopefully you can carve out some time for yourself to get some workouts in. I'm a single mom to 7 year old twins so the dvds I can do at home work best for me. Right now I am ADDICTED to the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds dvd where you do in-home walking from anywhere to 1-5 miles! I also try to get the majority of my workouts done in the morning so there's little room for excuses to build up! I look forward to getting to know you!
Hi and welcome! I guess my only advice would be, like Vanessa said, carve out some time for yourself. Even if it's only little pieces here and there. For me it's helped to start small (like working out in some form for 20 minutes) and then build up as and when I can.
Hope you enjoy the board!
Hi Rebecca! Sorry I wasn't able to welcome you yesterday I couldn't post a thing! At any rate, it looks like you've gotten some great advice from the ladies!
I would say that if you're 3 year old isn't in playschool, maybe get a double stroller and find a park that is a little further away from the house, so you can get a good walk in there and back and your toddler can play at the park! Walking is the cheapest, most convenient way to get fit!
I'm sure that some of the other moms with younger kids (mine is now 15) will have some great advice - as mom's our schedule isn't always our own! LOL
I'm a shorty AND a snacker too. I have found that some of the fruit yogurts out there are perfect for snacks, as are the fat free puddings. They are just enough sweet to satisfy my sweet tooth and low cal enough not to put me over the limit!
Hi Rebecca! The ladies before me have done a FAB job of welcoming you, and handing out some words of wisdom (this board is the best!!!)- I'm the other CL around here (IG, or IslandGirl)- my computer's giving me some trouble at home, so I'm checking in real fast from my classroom (sshhhh......don't tell!!)
Welcome!

Miranda - my new FAVORITE yogurt is Yoplait Light White Chocolate Strawberry - YUM!!!
Yum! I will have to keep a lookout for that one! Right now I'm loving the Vanilla yogurts - my fave is the Citrus-Tango Vanilla, and the little containers are only 50 Calories!
