Welcome to the board Sunflower!! This is a great place to find motivation and ideas on how to get that scale moving!
It sounds like you are doing everythign right - are you tracking what you eat? Sometimes we can restrict our calories too much or just not be getting those calories from the right place and that can stall our weight loss efforts.
Try something like fitday.com to see where those calories are coming from. Also keep up your water intake and make sure that you are getting a good mix of cardio and resistance training. Building up muscle mass will help make your body more efficient when it comes to burning those calories!
We are in the midst of a month long spring challenge:
Yes, I keep track of everything I eat-I am a calorie counter (12-1500 a day) and was doing low-fat for awhile, but that doesn't seem to be working so now I'm tracking my carb intake as well.
I have the overweightness gene too! LOL And hitting your 30's just makes it a bit harder to lose the weight. It sounds like you are doing everything right - making some adjustments to where those calories are coming from can make a big difference but so can varying the number of calories - sometimes if I'm not seeing any results I'll increase my caloric intake for a week and then go back down to my normal amount and it seems to jolt my system!
Hi there. I recently joined myself - I have 30 to lose and just want to feel fit and healthy! The gals here have been so great with my many questions already. See you around, and good luck! :)
Welcome to the board Sunflower..........the previous ladies have done a great job of welcoming you, and Miranda has passed on some great links to help you get to know our board a little better.
From the sounds of things you are heading in the right direction; it just takes time, unfortunately! Do make sure you're not eating to few calories for the workouts you're doing though.
