QOTW: Measuring Portions

As I was making my lunch this morning and including some peanut butter I thought rather than just doling it out and estimating how much it was I would actually make sure I got exactly 2 tablespoons. Well, it turns out I may have been overestimating by quite a bit how much I'm feeding myself! LOL
So the questions for this week are:
Do you measure your serving sizes?

Not enough! For a while I was much more conscious, but then slid back into my old ways of simply filling the plate. I have to get more aware of how much I'm eating!
Do you think you are generally aware of how much you are eating?
Not really. I have to get into the habit of measuring out portions so that I recognize how much a proper serving is.

How did you do?
Not very well - I was at about 50% but then I had some troubles figuring out how long it would take to burn off those calories!

Have to admit a no to this one....I guesstimate ALOT of the time! However, I did downsize my dinner plate size about a year ago, and for the most part don't dive in for seconds!

For the most part yea.....it's the snack attacks that I lose control with!

**Sometimes - depends on what it is. I always measure pasta b/c I love it and always want to cheat!! I follow WW, so I record in a journal and that makes it easier to measure and be sure of what I'm getting.
Do you think you are generally aware of how much you are eating?
**Yes. Constantly. 24/7. It's a sickness, isn't it? I enjoy food, but I'm always aware. I can't even begin to remember when I ate something and just enjoyed it w/o feeling a pang of guilt or regret, even when it's "healthy" food - it was probably when I was pregnant.

Do you think you are generally aware of how much you are eating? Yes and sometimes it ain't pretty! lol
