For this week the idea is to pick two of the above elements and work on them both. Don't forget about the third one though ;-)

Eat Sensibly. I would like to keep my calories down and concentrate on eating eggs, chicken, fish, and legumes for my protein sources.

My goal this week will continue to be food...especially focusing on leaner protein choices and continuing to monitor impulse snacking.

Exercise - I'll add exercise I want to get in a minimum of 3/15 minute workouts.


Food - Did food last week and wanted to stay under 1500 cals. I averaged 1456 so this week I want to try for 1400 cals a day.

Okay...same food goals as last week (I did pretty well, but kind of fell apart over the weekend...), and add in at least three workouts with 25 minutes cardio, some nice stretching, and adding in strength training.

Exercise......I want to start more weight training for toning purposes!

Food.....trying to have enough energy on 1200 cals to do all I want to do in a day!

I almost feel silly...but this week my focus will be on working on exercising. I have decided to lift some "weights" (actually I'm not really strong so it's going to be two cans of tomato soup for now). I'm also going to work on some stretching, and our town pool opened yesterday, so if I can get going on a daily swim, that would be the best thing for me I think.

So, you don't think I'm silly for using tomato soup cans as weights? LOL

Here's a question for you. Can walking help me gain weight? Or is it strictly a cardio exercise?
