Note about making smoothies ...

So this Sunday I went to make my green tea smoothie and I decided to try something different. Instead of using my normal frozen yogurt I buy in the ice cream department, I froze a little container of vanilla yogurt (I don't really like eating the vanilla ones that come in my pack).

Then I used Crystal Light instead of juice and added some fruit. I ended up with a smoothie that was under 80 calories, and it still tasted great!

Here's the comparison for the regular frozen yogurt and the frozen Vanilla yogurt container:

I would say more like a good mid-day snack.....a good healthy one. (IMO anyway)

...um.....I'm not sure. You would think they'd hold up fine. Perhaps someone else on the board would know.

My mom does that a lot - she makes a soy smoothie with yogurt and puts it in a bottle and pops it in the fridge. I think she shakes it up again before drinking it.

I prefer my smoothies a bit more frozen/slushy so I don't think it would work for those kinds of smoothies though.
