I finally did it! I am so freaking happy! I completed the first phase of South Beach. The several times I have started South Beach I have only managed to do one week on it because for one it's quite expensive to do and two I am not very creative and get bored with eating salads every day and quit after one week. But I did it. I finished the necessary two weeks to complete Phase 1. YIPPEE!!! I am really proud of myself that I completed it, I managed to have headaches everyday the first week while I withdrawed from the sugar it was pretty bad, but the second week was better, no headaches and I managed to eat more veggies other than salads, I had much more variety I ate asparagus, green beans, broccoli and my stand by of salads.

And in 2 weeks lost 9 lbs!!!

Now this week I started Phase 2 which is much better you can have fruits and minimal carbs. So I am doing great I am so happy and I am doing Slim in 6 again and I'm walking 3 times a week with my cousin.

Deirdre

Congrats,

I know how hard that is, because I only lasted a day. I felt like I was going into a coma or something. turns out that when you have low blood sugar, you are not supposed to do south beach. Oops, didn't know. LOL

Great Job, and good luck with your next phase.

Thanks I have to say I owe it to my mom if she wasn't cooking dinner every night I probably wouldn't have made it but now at phase 2 it will be much easier to stay on I know it.

Thanks Gretchen I didn't want to jinx myself and come here until I made it. I don't know why. Isn't that weird?

I started a group on the beta site for anyone doing south beach I was alone there for awhile finally ONE person joined. LOL

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

That is awesome! South Beach has always seemed so daunting to me! What do you think was different this time around? Did you have the same kind of cravings? Was it just having someone to cook with you and keep you on track??

It was definitely because I had my mother helping me and she was cooking and adding the variety when I did it before it was just me and I got bored with just salads, living alone I just couldn't maintain the variety by myself, I admit it that when I would get home from work and after exercising I would be tired all I could muster up by myself was a salad and a chicken breast but with her cooking us dinner then I can manage variety with the veggies and I didn't get bored of the same thing all the time it was easier to maintain my parents also found a pizza place that has whole wheat crust in the neighborhood which is great so we can actually go out to pizza. FABULOUS!
