So, as I'm home studying for my CPA exam (not working), the deal is I am the one responsible for coming up with dishes for me and the dh to eat for dinner.

I love to cook as well!! And I'm definitely going to try that maple salmon one!! I'll hit the farmer's market to pick up the good maple syrup for that one!

I used to live in Calgary but worked extensively in Edmonton as well; I loved being an Albertan (originally from Ontario) but DH is born n bred BC mountain boy so we finally broke down and moved here. I can't say I regret it......but still loved Alberta!

I absolutely LOVE Salmon. It tastes alot different than ordinary fish. Like a previous poster, I buy my salmon at Sam's Club because I don't have the slightest clue what to choose if I'm buying it fresh.

Here's my favorite recipe; all the spices and what-not are all packaged, it would probably taste much better if I used fresh parsley and garlic:
- heat olive oil in pan
- add garlic
- add salmon
- add small amount of lime juice
- add soy sauce, garlic salt, pepper, parsley to both sides
- cook for about 5 min
- add a little brown sugar to both sides
- cook an additional 5 min or so

I don't measure anything I just season to taste; the brown sugar gives it a slightly sweet taste.

Good luck; hope it turns out great!
