Unfortunately as most of you know... I only get about 5 hours/per night....

You know it seems like in the last month I've been down to 6-7 hours, where as before I would be solidly in the 7-8 range.

I don't feel like I'm really feeling it yet, but I do know that the older I get the more stress interferes with my sleep patterns. If I'm even a little stressed it tends to keep me waking up at night.

I sleep 8 hours most night and if not I'm in a bad mood.

I'm a 6-7'er......any more and I tend to be more groggy than anything! Think 7hrs is my optimum.

I normally set a goal of 8 hours, and can usually get pretty close to it.

Actually, it was horrible. I went in again today and my mgt sent me home. They offered me a 13 day sick leave advance, which would mean it'll be another year of federal service to pay it back (not that I intend to leave the govt), but I talked to my mom and we agreed that I should not get on a plane next month to come see her, so I'm not going to take the advance, I'm going to use vacation time instead. Once that's gone, I'm eligible to accept donations of leave from others and a few people have offered. That would extend my time home as long as necessary.

This has not been the smooth recovery I had hoped for!

Oh no......I'm sorry you're not recovering as smoothly as (we all) hoped! What a bummer- but at least you have been given an offer of more time off, and the offer of even more (from co-workers, we have a plan like that too, if you need it). I'm sure your Mom understands!

Now.....no more walks to or around the lake this week- TAKE IT EASY!
