Those of you have used the Slim in 6 Series...Cher and a few others I wanted to update you on my progress and let you know about the Slim Series which is the next phase after the Slim in 6. It's a Series of 6 DVDs (and I also bought Keep it Up) which is a stand alone disc that you use after the Slim in 6 series. Anyhow, I just started to embark on the Slim Series which is a great series to challenge you after Slim in 6 is done to really tone you up further and let me tell you last night was tough. Last nights challenge was "Tone it Up" it was a cardio with weights and it was soooo rough. I was reading my booklet over the weekend and it told me to buy 3, 5 and 8 lb weights. So I go to Target and grab the weights and am like jeez these 3 lb weights are way too light so I just bought the 5 and 8 lb weights and I didn't preview the tapes first before starting. I should have because I would have bought the 3 lb weights as well. You are doing the lunges, squats, kicks etc with the weights the whole time, those 5 lb weights got awfully heavy after awhile. YIKES. Needless to say I'll be heading back to Target to get those 3lb weights before I have to do the Tone it Up! DVD again. I can tell though that my body is going to change drastically with this new challenge of the Slim Series and I am very excited for this new path I'm embarking on.
So here I go girls!!! I'm down 27.25 inches. I broke my measuring tape so I wasn't able to measure this week, so I had to order another tape measure duh!!! But so far so good! I highly recommend Debbie Sieber and her workouts to anyone. She is fantastic to slimming your midsection especially. www.beachbody.com

Good for you. I have the Slim Series too and love to have the choice of all those workouts.
That is fabulous news about how many inches you have lost! Of course I know you worked your butt off to get there!!
As for the weights, one of the classes I took did a lot of weight work while doing lunges, squats, etc. and I was shocked at how little weight I had to use to really fatigue those muscles!
I'm sure you are going to continue to see drastic changes with all the exercise!!
It's so wonderful to find something that works for you- and that you enjoy (well some of the time at least LOL)- wishing you great success on the new series you're embarking on!

Oh Gretchen you should have warned me about Firm it Up! I thought Tone it Up! on monday with 5 lb weights was bad that was childs play compared to Firm it Up! Debbie was relentless with the squats last night. My thighs and butt were burning and screaming for mercy.
Oh my gosh I was in the shower after my workout practically crying. HAHA!
Thank god the workout tonight is Cool it off! which is just a stretching routine. HAHA!

Deirdre
I know it's a bit evil to use the happy icon when you probably are having a tough time moving this morning Dee, but I wanted to say great job on the workout!!! Here's to a nice, relaxing, stretching day for you!!

It really is and I'm really proud of myself for making it through the Slim in 6 set and onto the Slim Series and I know the Slim Series is going to really challenge my body in new ways it already is so I know my body is going to totally change in new ways in a positive way so I'm excited for it.
Although you wouldn't have known it when I was clenching my teeth and in tears last night. There was this one move last night where she had you squatting down super low and you had your arms behind you and you bounced low for what felt like an eternity I seriously wanted to punch her in the face and then she'd let you up and you did scissor moves with your arms over your head and then you did it again, she did this like 4 times in a row, my thighs and my butt were on FIRE I seriously thought I would fall over from the searing pain in my legs. LOL

Deirdre
