Some of you may know that there's s CL workshop going on this month... this week the topic includes what makes posts most 'clickable' and what makes them least 'clickable'... so with that in mind-

What post title just draws you in??

Which ones don't attract you?

(Of course you can answer this in regards to just this board... or any of the (many) others around the village too)

Well... I do read them all - but as far as actually responding --- I try to always welcome a new person and like Gretchen -

Like Vanessa, I try to read them all. How many I respond depends a lot on how much free time I have (on this board, at least), which lately has been a lot given all of my forced time off. On other boards, I avoid the topics I know nothing about (although I do feel selfish asking for advice and not giving any in return....particularly on the Neck and Back Pain board), and on another board if there seems to be a steady stream of complaining or messages clearly meant to antagonize people, I won't respond.

In regards to 'our' board I try to respond to all threads, at least once. If I don't know about the 'subject' (eg. the bean) I post anyway... lol- it's part of my job ;-)

I also welcome the *newbies* (.... great to have you here!!) Plus let me take this opportunity to say to all of our members for being so welcoming to newcomers!! It really is warming to see such a great group!

With regards to other boards... I really only click on the ones that either a)I can help with b)I'm interested in or c)offering support/prayers.... etc.

Reading the responses has been really insightful. Thank.... looking forward to seeing more thoughts on this.

What post title just draws you in?? Usually I'm drawn in by a title that is sort of wacky or humorous or daring.

Which ones don't attract you? Any post that is titled 'Help' with no other info.

Love the signature =)
So happy to see you post at this QOTW.... don't ever feel uncomfortable with any kind of posting, whether it's a reply, or a new post. But if reading's your thing, that's fine too!

I read all the posts on my boards. Rarely do I *think* about the title. However, I'm kind of a sucker. A cl promoted her board in the Explore iVillage folder using cans of peas in the subject line. It turned out that carrying cans of peas helped tone upper arms. I was hooked & now visit that board all the time. LOL

When I first got the pc, I was forever distracted by those flashing ads * you are the millionth visitor* or whatever. I could NOT stop myself from clicking. Oh for goodness sakes! I sure learned my lesson since then. jan
