Monday, July 2

Well this was a bit of an off day - I was actually OFF work for Canada day. I did get out for a great bike ride - picked up my paniers so now I don't have to lug around my knapsack while I'm riding! I ate okay, but not very regularly, and should have had more water. And I did make some delish chocolate chip cookies. LOL

A great day all in all. Yes I did have two more cookies but my food was pretty good otherwise. Also rode to and from work and went for a 3Km walk at lunch.

Yup - we've had hot (well hot for us) weather here, and I just can't seem to settle down to sleep. Am going to be getting some window air conditioners in about a week, so hopefully that will help.

Bad day of eating mostly due to having that Dairy Queen blizzard. Darn that frozen goodness LOL

Then Matt decided to stay out all hours of the night with his friends. I panicked. And finally tracked him down at 2 o'clock in the morning. I couldnt' believe how many kids were still out. I had asked the bicycle police to keep an eye on him and I was scared to death something had happened to him. But no, he was just being a rotten kid. And now something WILL happen to him. LOL So I'm working on very little sleep and am hoping to try to stay on track today.

Been there.....done that (oh.....I was the kid doing it-) I'm sorry Miranda- was he at least close to the house or near where he said he'd be?

Saw your post below- hope some 'Moms' out there have some good advice for you- in the meantime.....take some time away from your desk today- get out for a short walk at lunch; clear your head.

WEll a better eating day, although we did go out for dinner and I did have the fries. BUT I didn't eat all of them, and I had a steak and veggie wrap which was an okay choice.

Rode in to work again - but man oh man was it hot. 90 degrees which meant a VERY hot ride home! On the plus side, I'm drinking tons of water to keep cool!

Good for you Miranda- that bike riding will surely pay off for you-- plus all the gas money you're saving!! (How's Matt....? Is he grounded?)

Calories were over due to slushes - but I did go for a great walk at lunch and got some gardening in. Overall this week I am burning more calories than I eat, but not enough to lose weight. Will have to work on this next week.

Matt is grounded, but we're coming to some agreements on what has to happen in order for him to have a good summer. AND I have a coffee date Satuday, so I'm kind of excited about that. It has been years since I've actually been on a date, so I'll see how it goes.
