Going with a different format this month- it will include the Walk On challenge. (Oh yea....I used the 'welcome' emoticon as I hope the weather becomes cooler, and warm soothing coffees can be enjoyed)
Things I want to accomplish this month
- Start to incorporate some jogging to my walks
- Keep that water bottle handy
- Drop some pounds
- Get some new clothes....(strictly on a needs basis)
10 things to do in October
1. Cook up some squash: will do this at least once
2. Ditch the leaf blower: will do some gardening instead
3. Go wild for pomegranates: hmmm.....will have to look at our tree tomorrow (10/2)
4. Take the stairs: extra walking when possible
5. Breathe: when I'm about to lose it in the classroom
6. Do push-ups: on the ball
7. Eat more berries: pick up some strawberries or something
8. Challenge your mind: try a crossword (I hate them)
9. Pick up some plants: oh goody, more plants
10. Catch up on your checkups: must call my doc and dentist

Not too bad of a day- ate ok, picked up some 'good' stuff for lunches, and had some leftover BBQ chicken from the Music Fest for dinner. TOM is due to arrive any day- and I was a little 'on edge' today LOL-
Was surprised the challenge today was only for 15mins, I did get a 20min walk in, so I'm already doing well, by challenge standards!!

IG - love the new siggie!! And it looks like you are off to a great start and kicking butt in the challenge already!!
I even surprised myself today. I didn't sleep all that well last night; rain & cat issues!! Anyway knew I had a staff meeting too, so had sort of resigned myself to not working out today. I did!! Plus got the house cleaned. It might have been that extra coffee I had at 3pm. Who knows......

IG, what a great day! You got a workout in, got in loads of water, and checked off 3 things on the October list!! Whoo hoo!!
Another not so bad day- and even though I'm not posting my food believe me when I say I've been good. There's been Brussels sprouts, carrots, yogurts. roast beef, pumpkin seeds, grapefruit. The only not so good (although they ARE good) thing is chocolate covered cashews..... I know I should have just walked away from them!!
Slept much better last night, up early, and did some stretching- had a crick in my neck. Plus went walking after school- no weights though.

IG looks like you are having a TERRIFIC October so far!
I agree with Vanessa - October has gotten off to a fabulous start!! Way to go!
Shoot- if you read my post above (slipped and fell) you'll know that my day didn't go exactly as planned. Plus when I went shopping I felt a little sorry for myself and picked up some (mini) Peanut ButterCups (who, by the way, is still back here at the end of the month, but only for a couple of weeks. He then goes off to another island for most of the winter. Boo!) Food wasn't too bad, until the BC's. Dinner was chicken and potatoes, with more Brussels sprouts. I did pick up some strawberries too, and had them in between BC's LOL- just taking it easy on the couch this evening. House needs a little cleaning, but it can wait.

Hey IG - take it easy on that ankle! And of course I understand the pity food - I'm the champ at that! LOL At any rate, one day isn't going to undo all the great work you've done this week!! That's lousy about BC - having to leave after he just gets home again, hopefully you guys can spend some quality time while he IS around!
