August Goals


Food-



  • Fruit & Veg daily

  • Cut back on carbs

  • Limit snacks

Exercise-



  • 800mins

  • Walk 2x's a week

  • Yoga 1

  • Swim/Other 1

Other-



  • Clean out closet

  • Clean out cabinets in kitchen & bathroom

  • Get school stuff prepared

10 Things to do this month-



  • Make healthy friends -- or make your friends healthier

  • Feast on fresh fruit

  • Improve your balance

  • Eat more garlic (allium family foods)

  • Get better sleep

  • Eat dessert

  • Plan a winter getaway

  • Make hemp a part of your die

  • Do nothing

  • Binge on beans

Saturday, Aug 2


Got up at a decent hour, after 8hrs of sleep! (Apparently I slept through more thunder and lightning... it didn't ease up until after 5am.... I didn't hear any of it!) First thing yesterday it was overcast and cool, so went to the park for a 2mile walk.... then things started to get muggy. So happy I got down there early.
Went out last night, and even though I said I wasn't going out late.... I did stay out, but at least we went dancing so burned off some calories there ;-)



Food-



  • Fruit & Veg daily- strawberries, broccoli, carrots

How long will BC be gone this time? I'm sure I've missed this is a previous post, but is the another working trip or pleasure this time?

Looks like a good plan for August IG, and a good start so far! You've already hit your walking goal for this week!! Way to go!

You know Sonia..... nobody's sure!!


He went up to 'suss' things out. He's been talking about it for a long time and says if he doesn't do it now, he might never and then will always wonder. He went up there knowing nobody (in the sailing field)-- with nowhere to stay, etc... Brave!


It might be 2 weeks, it might be 2 months. Who knows!


However he also wants to go visit family there too. So he might just end up doing that. He does have a job lined up here, but that doesn't start until November. Figured he might as well do something while waiting.

Monday, Aug 4




Feel great about the day I just had. Though I woke up to a backache and TOM I overcame them!! Didn't even bother stepping onto the scale this week- I'll deal with that next Monday!
Tackled the bathroom cupboard (creams, make-up, jewellery... all of it) and ended up with one bag of crap that's gone now! Ran some errands. Walked with Leslie and got on the bike... she was killing me! LoL
Food was good too =)





Food-



B coffee, bagel w/cream cheese
L- tortellini w/pasta sauce
S- granny smith
D- salad w/corn, peppers, carrots and turkey
S- cherries




Exercise-



Day 1: Cardio workout
Did it! So I popped Leslie in the dvd and managed 20mins with her earlier this afternoon. Knowing that I was supposed to do 30mins I hopped onto the bike at about 6pm and did 10mins on it.


Day 2: Rest
Day 3: Gym-free toning workout
Day 4: Cardio workout
Day 5: Rest
Day 6: Cardio workout
Day 7: Rest


Other-
