Talk about a relaxing day! Just lazed at home. A friend was trying to get me to meet her for Happy Hour, but I had a case of cramps (TOM coming) and so declined.... several times. LoL
BC and I have been in touch several times during the course of the day. He goes to see his brother tomorrow and so not sure when we'll be in touch again. They're going to drive from Indiana to Cali together..... sure it will be an interesting ride.
No word from K....

I was thinking about the nomadic movements of him recently too. But in actuality it's really not all that bad. He goes off once a year, usually- to work. Work down here (for sailing, and in tourism) slows down during the summer. So it works out to go up north.....

With regards to his family- he hasn't seen any of them in quite a few years. This is major for him to go visit them all, in one trip no less. Think he's a little nervous. The road trip is to save on $$$....

Ohhh, well that makes sense. I hope his visit with family goes well! I couldn't imagine not seeing my family for a few years!

Tuesday, Sept 2

For some reason I had a hard time falling asleep last night, 1.30am was the last time I looked at the clock!! Up at 6.30--- but surprisingly didn't feel all that fatigued. Must have been from all the relaxing over the weekend. Saw K when I got to work, he was dropping off one of the kids in my class, they live with him. (side story- the little girl's room used to be my room!! small island...) anywho... rest of the day at school was good- quiet for not only the beginning of the week, but for the beginning of the year too. We've no criers this year. WoHOO!!
However.... after school I sat down to watch the weather update at ten to four, and then fell asleep til' about 4.40--- had a parent night at 5.30 (18 out of 27 children were represented by a parent or parents!)-- not up to much this evening either.
BC texted me from some airport... I missed it as I was busy at the parent night-- and now I guess he's somewhere in the air ;-)

Well that makes three of us - I think I was nervous for Matt going back to school!

At any rate, IG, your food looked good and I'm glad that you had a good turnout at parents night!!
