Happy New Year!!!

A fresh start is what I need. And some serious motivation. The last three years have been hectic crazy and sometimes terrible, though not so terrible in retrospect. In the process I have NOT lost the last 10 pounds I was trying to lose. Instead I gained an additional 55 or so. Goals - GET STARTED!

1) Rejoin this great message board. ---------- COMPLETE 1/7/2010
2) Weigh in.
3) Create a ticker.
4) Track food.
5) Get back to yoga.
6) Restart weights.
7) Find cardio to do.

1 down! Yea!!!

Took awhile to get up the guts to look at the scale. I knew what it was going to say. But still! 65 pounds to go... that's how much my daughter weighs. I'm carrying around an extra Lindsay all day long. I kept close track of my food today but haven't figured out how/where I'm going to keep the info.

Hey Jessica - that is a great way to look at that extra weight! I haven't ever thought of what extra person/object I might be carrying around!


As for tracking I've used fitday.com and sparkpeople.com and right now am really liking sparkpeople.com for tracking my food.

Congrats on getting 2 goals done! I agree with Miranda - I like sparkpeople.com for tracking food.

Carrie - I agree - WW is a great plan but I get pretty bad about logging all my stuff too! I even had the digital points calculator LOL

I've never tried weight watchers, and generally just need to log my food to get an idea of where the heck my extra calories come from. Normally I'm really good with meals, but who knew that 2 tbsp of peanut butter that I have with my apple are over 200 calories? That's really where I get caught up is in the in-between meal snacks.
