Booked package with free dining,

I am so excited, I was able to book the package with free dining for the dates I wanted in September, now I am wondering about crowds. Is there anyone who went during this promotion last year, I am wondering if the promotion itself, since it is such a good deal, will make the crowds much worse. I changed our plans from December to Sept so we could get the promotion and am wondering how many other people may do that as well. Enough to effect crowds??

Thanks so much to everyone for your input that help me make my decision.

Which week in Sept are you going? Sept is generally very light with labor day week being the lightest. (of the entire year actually) You definately won't have the parks to yourself but I would be surprised if the standby lines went over 30 min on anything other than Soarin and Expedition Everst. (just opinion) The Sept that we went we nearly did have the parks to ourselves but we were there for Francis and Charlie had just came through and Jeanne was on her way, so I would consider that extenuating circumstances. We love going in early Dec, and that's about the crowd level I would expect for a regular Sept. This past Dec we were there closer to Christmas and did see the crowd level rise, Expedition Everest wasn't open yet but Soarin had standbys of over an hour and fast pass returns at the end of the day and were 'out' of fast passes shortly after lunch.

I agree with Sonya. It won't be as empty as when we were there in 2004, but it won't be crowded either. Restaurants on the other hand will be full because of the free dining, so make those ADR's!

We are going from sept 23-30. question about ADR's. We want to do Hoop Dee Doo even though it will take 2 sit down dinners. On allears it says you have to pay for that in advance, how does that work when we are using the meal plan to pay for it.

Thanks

We were there in the fall the last two years on a special like that. Last year it was free dining the last of August/early Sept and we found the crowds very light, except for the last day. That was the Saturday of Labor Day weekend though, so that's to be expected. The year before we went the last week of Sept/first of October, and it was pretty light crowds even though it was the 5+2, where you paid for 5 nights package and got 2 nights free. I don't think we had waits over 20 minutes on either trip.

Have a great one!
