We just got back from a trip to Disneyland a few weeks ago. Stayed at the Candy Cane Inn, which we really liked. It's on the same side of Harbor Blvd as Disneyland and an easy walk to the parks. It also has a complementary shuttle bus, just for that hotel. They provide a complementary breakfast (not great, but enough to get you started in the mornings). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Another hotel that is right across the street is the Park Place Inn & Suites.

A great place to go for information about the hotels and to see them on a map is the Disneyland website. If you click on "hotels" and then click on "Good Neighbor Hotels" you can get information on pretty much all of the hotel/motels in the area. They give a brief description of each and also show their location.

Here is the link for the Disneyland website:

And here is the direct link to the Good Neighbor hotel information:

We like the HoJo, and I've heard great things about the Candy Cane Inn.
Good luck and happy planning!

Great. Let us know where you decide to stay and if you have any more questions. Since we just went again in May I feel like I might actually have some answers, lol.

When our family went last September we stayed at the Best Western Park Inn. It is right across the street from the main gates of Disney Land. The room was very clean, service was excellent and everyone was very helpful. The continental breakfast was terrible though and we only went one day. We were able to get alot better breakfast in the Mark Twain restaurant in Disneyland as we didn't find the food there cost alot.
I know if you are traveling from BC Canada www.westernvacations.com has great info.

Hello-
My family just returned from a trip to Disneyland. We stayed at the Embassy Suites Anaheim South. We had wonderful service there. We were able to take our children (ages 1 and 2) down for breakfast everyday in their pajamas. We took the shuttle bus from the hotel and did not have to wait a long time. I did however notice that our shuttle passed many other hotel stops because the shuttle was full by the time they left Embassy Suites. We were also dropped off first at the end of the night. You do pay a little more for the room, but you get free breakfast for everyone and in the evening they had free drinks and snacks.

Have a wonderful time in Disneyland!

Helen

Pretty much all of the hotels around Disneyland provide a free breakfast. It's one of the perks they give. If you check the "Good Neighbor" hotels on the Disneyland website you can do a comparison of the ammenities, including the free breakfast. I would look at price (if that's important), how close and easy it is to get to the park (if you're not going to use a car and pay for parking).
