Info on the Mickey PAL?

I just saw this option mentioned on the disney website. It talks about it minimally....... something about you buy this mickey stuffed doll and it talks to you about each ride when you are in line with it, and it will tell you the line is short over at small world, or whatever........ or that the princesses are gathering at the castle for a autograph signing session, etc. It is obviously some form of wireless technology they have come out with. But, of course, on the website it doesn't tell you cost. Anyone done this? How much is he? Does he work well? Is it worth it or a waste of money????

We are going in May and counting down the days!!!!!!!

TIA,

I think he's around $69 or so, hopefully someone will know for sure. I'm planning to get one the next time we go, wish I would have done it last year, but I didn't.

I can't remember how much we paid for him, but $70 sounds right. We purchased Pal Mickey b/c I wanted something to entertain our youngest two kids(ages 3 and 1) while the oldest was riding the bigger rides. But the 6yr old claimed him immediately. She loves PM. He gave info on parade times, where a character is(I hear that Goofy is....) rides, etc. He also tells jokes and sings all the time not just in the parks. He was a hit for our trip. Kelly

We purchased a Pal Mickey on our first day. I've had Pal Mickey envy for several years now and we finally got one. I'm glad we waited because he's new and improved. He has a louder voice than before and is dressed up for the 50th anniversary. He also has a laynard and a clip.

He was around $70, but such a small price to pay for a new family member, ya know? The kids and I took turns with him. My favorite thing was when we were leaving the park each night. You'd be so tired and as soon as you exited he would say that he'd had a great day and that he was going to take a nap (or something of that nature). It would make us LOL and we made sure to listen for it each night.

I think it's worth the $$.

We love our Pal Mickey! We bought him in Nov 04 and I think he's worth the money as we take him back to the World on each trip (getting our money's worth! LOL).
