Pirate Cruise? Worth it enough to (m)

Is the pirate cruise worth it enough for us to push our dates back? We're planning on arriving Memorial Day weekend then staying through the following weekend. BUT, I've been reading about the Pirate Cruise at the GF, and I think the boys would absolutely love it. HOWEVER, the ages are 4-10, and Isaac won't be 4 until June 6, which is 4-5 days after we leave. Would this be worth it enough to push our trip back and arrive the Wednesday after Memorial Day in order to be there the following week on his bday? We won't be going back for 2 years after this trip. WHY can't this stuff ever be easy for me? It's going to take me the next year to plan this trip the rate I'm going.

Thanks for any and all input.

Well.... I had heard great things about this, including comments from the friends we went with in March. Their son had done it two times before and had a blast.

Long story short, our kids thought it was lame when they did this in March. The boat broke down and they had to split into two pontoon boats. It was all women leading it (nothing against women, but no pirate men? Huh?) My kids said at least one of the women was "mean" to them. Now, my kids usually have fun doing anything, especially at Disney. It was highly unusual for them to complain about something like this.

Keep in mind that I have a 10 year old boy (IMO, ten is probably too old for this) and a 6 year old girl (who can be princessy one minute and a tomboy the next).

Of course, it may just have been a bad day for the pirate cruise. Also, a 4 - 8 year old boy might have been a better participant.

HTH,

I know how you feel, but I don't think I would change my dates just for the pirate cruise. What about taking them to the Adventure Room at WoD and letting them make their own treasure chest and pirate hat instead?

Didn't think about that Tammy......that might be a thought too. I know they don't what they are missing, but I just think they'd like it. We'll see, thanks for the input guys!
