We are going May 20-27 staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We(okay me more than DH) are very excited. We are taking our DS who will be almost 16 months with us. Looking forward to having his first haircut at the Barber Shop at MK.
I'm mostly a lurker here, but am so excited that I just had to reply. We'll be there May 19-22 as well. We're really just spending 2 days in the parks (AK and MK) and having dinner at Chef Mickey's on Friday night. Then we're off for a week long beach vacation in Cocoa Beach.

We are going May 13-21. We have always gone in May (this is our 5th WDW trip, 6th if you count our Disneycruise in 2000) and LOVE IT. People are so busy with proms and graduations, that I don't think they vacation in May, I swear! We've never had too big of a crowd problem in May. This time we are staying in the Marriott Grande Vista, since we bought into their timeshare last summer (more Hawaii options than Disney Vacation Club and we plan to rotate each year........... Hawaii, Disney, Hawaii, Disney, etc). This will be our first offsite Disney experience. We've stayed at them all, from All Star Sports when we were on a tight budget to the Floridian when dh had a huge bonus, and at the Caribean and the Beach Club two times. Favorite? Beach Club by far.......... walking distance to Epcot and the boardwalk and the kiddie pool ROCKS. I will miss the shuttles this year, but I will not miss the food prices and being "stuck" on the resorts- when we stayed on the resorts I always felt like I was trapped with the Mickey vacuum sucking the money out of our pockets :) This time, will have a three bedroom villa (going with friends) with kitchen so we can do breakfast in the room and pack 'snacks' so we aren't having to spend $ at every turn when the kids are hungry. I swear last time we went, we'd go the restarant and spend $$$ on breakfast, which the kids were too excited to eat, then we'd be in the park one hour and they'd whine that they were hungry............ $$$$ snack later.......... then lunch $$$$$ ACK! This time, we plan on saving meals for really neat places like the Sci Fi Diner and the Mexican joint in Epcot, and when they whine they're starved before our reservation, we can toss them a PB&J!
We are SW Weekends nerds, I cannot WAIT!!!!!!!!! We are in the official countdown mode to the vacation........... I made a chain with mickey heads cut out of construction paper for my boys to rip off every morning (like a christmas chain) and they are so excited!!!!!!
We going on April 30th until May 14th.
11 days and counting !!
YIPPEEEEE !!!!!!!!!

"Smokey", you sound like me! While I love what Disney does, I don't love dishing out all the dough. We've stayed onsite a few times, but we prefer offsite. I would rather drive my car and pay the cost of parking so that I can leave when I want to, and not be standing on a bus, making lord knows how many stops. Plus, like you, I hate to spend $$ on nothing (like the snacks)! My parents bought a timeshare several years ago, and we love it. Very roomy. I'm a little claustrophobic, so this helps me. When we stayed at the Contemporary 2 years ago, I thought I'd go crazy! Living out of a suitcase 'cause there wasn't enough drawers and having to stack the snacks we bought onto the dresser. Eek! Talk about close quarters!
I haven't stayed at the Beach Club since we had kids, but if we ever can afford it, I'd love to do that. I remember the pool being awesome!!!
