Strollers & Busses

For our September trip, our youngest will be 9 months old and I am sure WAY to heavy to carry for any length of time. I expect he will be napping here and there while we are at the parks, so I am planning on buying a stroller to bring with us. His current stroller is way to bulky to tote around.

Can you stroll a stroller right onto the disney busses or are there a few steps up/down?

I have only been on the buses once and can't remember.

Thanks!

Strollers must be folded and children out of them to be brought on the buses. There are stairs, I think 3, and most of the buses (all?) have a second door mid way down for wheelchairs. If the baby is asleep in the stroller the driver may open that door for you and let you use the lift to get in. Depends on the driver and how on shedule s/he is. You can usually stroll right on to the monorails (I've been asked if I would mind folding the stroller and holding a very awake child because it was so crowded, but that's only been once) and on the larger boats. The smaller boats require you to fold the stroller.

I love my single stroller, it's a Graco Literider and while it doesn't fold up to the smallest thing it is definately light and easy to open/close quickly.

You can rent a stroller but I wouldn't recommend it with a 9 month old. They aren't terribly comfortable and the little ones can get out fairly easy. I agree that you would want something that reclines, at least a little (the ones at the park are hard plastic) so if you son falls asleep you can just walk around the parks and enjoy a little if you want.
