MNSSHP ticket question
| Tue, 04-18-2006 - 10:38am |
We are going to Disney Sept 23-30 and I have found that on the 29th is the first night of the MNSSHP. We are all so excited to go but allears says tickets on sale soon. Do I need to buy these as soon as they become available, where do I buy them? Can it be done ahead of time? Disney's site shows the park closing at 6, I am guessing to prepare for the 7 O'clock party, if we are already in the park at 6 and have tickets do we have to leave and come back? When is the latest we could get dining reservations, I figure if we are still eating they won't kick us out??
Thanks so much for all your help, I don't know what I would do without this board.
Dawn

Dawn,
We are going that night too. I highly doubt it will sell out, but then again you never know how busy it is going to be with the free dining.
The only place you can get tickets is from Disney.
I have done the party before and would suggest NOT going to a park that day. Or if you do make it just in the am and take a nap. The party goes until midnight.
When we went in 2004 ( a sold out night), we got on every ride twice. Longest line was 10 minutes long for pirates. Otherwise we walked on to everything. You can get into the park with your party ticket at 4. Last time we got there around 5. They keep you in Tomorrowland until 7, then you have free go of the park unless you have ADR somewhere else in the park. You will get a wrist band for the party and they are really good about clearing out the non party people at 6.
I don't know the ages of your kids, but trick or treat was fun. They had stops all over the park and at most of the stops if the adults didn't have their bags out they would make you take them out so they could give you candy too. It was really nice.
We had a blast and are so excited that we are going to be there for it again this year.

Sarah, it is great to hear from someone who has done this, pretty cool your going to be there the same night as well. Do you just by the tickets from the Disney website, do you have any guesses as to when they will go on sale?
My boys will be 5 and 7 at the time so I think they will just love it!!
We went in 2004 also, and I'm thinking the tickets went on sale sometime in May. Hopefully before long!!! I think they were on sale over the phone quite a while before you could get them online. I'd order as soon as they go on sale if you know the date you want to go. We went the second night of the party, it was a Tuesday at the end of Sept 2004.

We went last year and had a ball, it was so much fun, my 8yr old DD was just in heaven!
I got our tickets when I made our ADR's, I think last time the park closed at 5pm not 6 and we had a 5:40 ADR at Tony's for supper and were raring to go right afterwards.
We spent the day at Animal Kingdom, and hopped back to our hotel just in time to change into our Halloween gear (DH and I dressed up too)It was a sightly rainy night early on, but it cleared up fast and the crowds were not bad, especially later on. The fireworks were amazing - better than any others we'd seen.
We'd definitely do it again.
