how early to book tickets...

Morning-

I was wondering how early you would book your park tickets, as well as a rental car? We will be in Florida on Oct.7th, planning to start going to the parks on the 8th. Should we order our park tickets now(saw a good rate w/ mousesavers for under $900--5 day w/ hopper, for our family of 4--ds will be 10). I'm guessing that those rates don't change?

As for the rental, I just started looking--and am completely overwhelmed! Different rental companies, all sorts of discount codes, & the #'s can keep changing! I hope to narrow down to 2 rental companies this week, see what their rates are, & watch them over the next week. Does that make sense? Thanks for any info on this!

I would book tickets as soon as possible. We are going in September and booked this week. If you plan on doing a character breakfast with Cinderella, I heard that they are taking reservations 180 days in advance now! So book fast. Rates do change... usually going higher. I've never rented to go to WDW, so I can't help you there. Good luck!

Jaime suggested booking right away but I think she was referring to booking room/tix packages, which would make sense as the number of rooms available decreases as you get closer

Check out the links that Val gave you for rental info, we drive down.

When you go through a ticket broker like is listed in the Moussavers newsletter they sometimes do have special prices (like the 4+2 or 5+1) and those will be at a limited # so if you want those get them now. Otherwise the prices are fairly comparable to advance purchase direct from Disney. Like a 5 day park hopper that expires is $233 from both undercover tourist and ticketmania, and only 234
