MNSSHP on Halloween?

Hi! We are fairly seasoned Disney travelers (this is our 6 yo 7th trip!), but we always go in early December. This year we are going in late October and have a choice of doing MNSSHP on Oct. 30 or the 31st. I would like to go to the party on Halloween, but have no idea what to expect as far as crowd levels! If anyone has been to the party on Halloween, I would love to hear about the crowds. I have a friend who went on the 30th last year and said the crowds were not too bad. I know I need to make up my mind because tickets will go on sale soon! TIA-Dana

Halloween is the first night that sells out for the party. The tickets are limited but some people have very different ideas of what 'limited' means. I remember when we went to MVMCP in 2000 the tickets were supposedly limited but the park was as crowded that night as it had been on a regular summer day, and MANY trip reports from that same year complained about the same. That being said,
Dana,
We attended the MNSSHP on 10/29/2004. It was the first sold out date. The other was of course Halloween.
They only sell a certian amount of tickets. The crowd levels were great. The longest line we waited in was 10 minutes for Pirates. Everything else we walked on to. Trick or treat lines here shor too.
During the day lines were about 30 minutes, so that might give you an idea of levels. Not too bad.
I would buy tickets for Halloween.
Have fun! We will be attending the party on 9/29 this year.

I don't know if you're interested, or you may already know, but if you want to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern on the night of the party, you can book that when you order tickets. Of course, that was a big deal when PS/ADR's were at 90 days out because you could book so much further ahead, now that it's 180 days for ADRs, it may be about the same time.
At any rate, we did this in 2004 and it was great! We really enjoyed the meal, the characters were in "costumes" and it was really fun. Great way to start the party!
