The only thing that looks off to me based on our trip several years ago with a 5 and 2 year old is I think you've over-booked at Epcot.

I respectfully disagree. It's not the favorite park for every child, but Epcot is and always has been my daughter's favorite park, and she's been at almost 3, almost 4, almost 5, almost 6, and just turned 7. On most of our trips, we've spent at least part of every day, or one day shy of every day, at Epcot. I also think it's much more enjoyable in spurts because of the walking involved.

I agree that MGM is a good park for the preschool age group. The last 2 trips, we've had less desire or need to spend time there, though.

I also respectfully disagree... my almost 4 year old loved Epcot last year too... we were there for one full day and parts of three other days... we park hopped and after we visited AK, Epoct and MK for a day each, we let Joey pick whereever he wanted to go and we visited Epcot each of our last three days...

Kids are different, so listen to their cues... once you get there you'll be able to see what knocks their socks off and what (if anything) isn't that exciting... Joey loved it all so we didn't have the isn't that exciting portion...

Have a great trip!

Wed- Pack swim stuff in carryon just in case your bags don't make it to the resort until much after you do. I would do dinner at Boatwrights so you're already at your resort. There's no resort to resort buses so getting back to POR from WL could be a bit of a hassle around 9pm with tired kids after a long day.

Well, our trips overlap, but our itineraries don't! Yours looks great, I'm sure you'll have a blast!!! Here is ours (if anyone cares, lol). We are traveling with our good friends (hopefully they will still be our good friends after this trip, lol). Together, we will have kids age 9, 7, 6, and 4!

Sat 5/13
Flight arrives 4pm (we are coming from the west coast, so a day is already shot!)
Pick up rental car and head to our timeshare villa - Marriott Grande Vista with dinner stop on the way
Men to take the kiddies swimming while the mommies find the nearest walmart/grocery store to stock up on breakfast foods, drinks, and snacks.
Then off to bed early so we can rise early!!!

Sun 5/14
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
We are going to do Islands of Adventure at Universal.
From open to close- naps- if needed- are done in strollers or in the shade! But we are a wild group and dont think naps will be needed, lol. Maybe the 4 year old will crash out in the stroller, HA!

Mon 5/15
Magic Kingdom! From open till close!
No ADR, just eating park food- looking forward to a BBQ turkey leg in Frontierland!

Tues 5/16
MGM, from open to close
Lunch reservations at the 50's Primetime cafe.
Dinner/Fantasmic reservations at Mama whatever her name is.

Wed 5/17
Epcot, from open to close
Lunch is 'sharing' this and that from all over the world showcase
Dinner reservations at Mexico River resteraunt, and AMEX priority seating for the Laser show.

Thurs 5/18
AK, from open to close.
Lunch reservations at Rainforest.
Dinner at Downtown Disney after AK closes, then we have 9pm La Nuba tickets (we've seen this before......... WOW!.......... but our friends haven't, and my kids haven't so we're so excited. We bought our tickets and are FRONT and CENTER. WOW!!! This will be a huge trip highlight!)

Fri 5/19
MGM all day for Star Wars Weekends
We will do most attractions/shows on Tuesday, but we are going back Friday to just focus on all the activities for SWW, we are such SW nerds. The kids want Darth Maul and Stormtroop autographs and pictures more than Mickey and Minnie, lol!
Lunch reservations at the sci-fi diner.
Redo the 'cool' rides such as Aerosmith and ToT until the park closes, lol.

Sat 5/20
SLEEP IN
Hang by hotel pool
Catch flight at 1pm.

Hmmmmmm. You can take Epcot either way. I can see it from the viewpoint you used. But, we have always done a full day there......... we use it as a "break" day. MK is one of those "run around rampant" kind of days. And AK, and MGM can be the same ways. So we have always shoved Epcot right in the middle......... because it is so liesurely. Besides the big rides, Testtrack and Mars, there are never any lines anywhere else (when we've gone in may anyways). So we go and do the morning liesurely through tomorrowland...... riding all the nice cheesy rides and spending a good hour alone at the aquarium one, my kids LOVE aquariums. Then we'll fastpass the Testtrack while we're doing all the other rides. Ds#1 had heart surgery at 1 day old, so we will NOT be doing Mars after the two deaths. Dh and our friend (the dad) want to do it to 'check it out' but I said no and no for our kids and the other mom followed suit. So that will be the guys thing. Then the world showcase opens and we just like to go and shop and nibble at each country, slowly making our way all around, and just being SLOW, since it's the park to be slow in unlike the other parks. We will probably fastpass the testtrack a second time in the afternoon while doing the showcase, just taking the ferry back........ again......... slow. Then dinner, then the show.

I agree that it is not the most exciting park of all.......... but that is what we love about it...... and why we put it in the middle......... just to slow it all down. We call that our 'breather' day. And it's definately a "good eats" day. We just nibble all afternoon rather than having a proper lunch. We get something from each country and share it!

So it is really a personal choice. Do you want long and lacksidasical...... or excitement go go go all day? If #1, do a day at Epcot, if #2, do a 1/2 day at Epcot squeezing in the exciting stuff and then parkhop off to another adventure.
