I know I should just do my research, but my time is limited here.

You kids definately will MOT be missing out if you go to Disneyland instead of Walt Disney World. Disneyland is the original magic, it has that sense of dreaming and wonder that none of the other parks in the world will have and it was worked on by Disney himself. Definately not going to be missing anything. And in fact since the resort complex is so much smaller geographically it will probably be easier for them.

Yes, definately disagree that your kids are to young. Each age brings it's own magic to the vactaion, and your 2 yo is still free if that makes any bit of difference. My oldest daughters first trip to Walt Disney World was at

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disneyland (and now California Adventure). I grew up in southern California, and actually grew up with Disneyland. I was 5 when the park opened (okay I'm really dating myself, lol). We used to go at least once a year. Now that I live in northern California we don't visit as much, but my younger dd and I spent 3 days in the parks in March and had a wonderful time.

I booked everything through the Disney site. It was just simpler. I was able to view the "Good Neighbor" hotels and see where they were located in proximity to the parks. We ended up staying at the Candy Cane Inn, which we enjoyed. Since there was only the two of us it was more than sufficient. With more people you might want to look into one of the suite type hotels. We opted to say off site because it was much less expensive. The Candy Cane Inn was within walking distance and also had a complementary shuttle available. With really young children you might want to be close enough that you could get back to the hotel room easily if anyone needed to nap. My oldest was 4 the first time we took her, my nephew was under 2 the first time my sister took him. My sis said she's not sure how much he remembers, but she remembers his first trip and said they had a great time. In fact, my bil is the one who napped, not my nephew, lol.

Have fun planning.

For me I love Disney World but I also love Disneyland. I plan to take my youngest back to both as she gets bigger.

We took our boys to DL when they were 8 & 10 yrs old and then to WDW at ages 9 & 11 and my 14 yr old neice too. We also had a 6 wk old baby when we went to WDW and it was just fine. She's the one that I intend to take back when she gets older and big enough to go on some rides. She did go on some with us at 6 wks not that she will remember them but we took photos lol

We plan to go to DL when she is about 4 or 5 and then to WDW when she is 8 or 9. I don't think they are very too young unless you are worried about them not remembering the trip. The fact that she won't remember going much when she was 4 or 5 just means I have a great excuse to go again lol
