Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reviews anyone?

Has anyone experienced this yet? I am tempted but of course want to make sure it will be worth the $$. I have a 5 1/2 yr old who is still in her "Princess Prime". This sounds so neat. I am curious to know if the makeup is done fairly tastefully, or a little too much. She had her ballet photo's taken a couple weeks ago, which they requested that makeup be applied. I thought my DH was going to go off the deep end - lol. Anyway, I would love to hear any thoughts on this.
OH..also we currently have 5 ADR planned right now, so to add one more reservation is not really something I would want to do...so if we do the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, are reservations required??
Thanks so much!!

I am booking my Ressy's for BBB today to be done before we have DInner at CInderella's Gala Feast. IT iwll be our last dinner there, so I want it to be extra special. I hope I Can get in at a decent time and still make it to our 5:40 ADR at Park Fare!
The pictures I have seen, are very nice, tasteful, and it appears that they do a small fairy (THink facepainting/ doodle0 on the upper cheek near the eye of a fairy, but I couldn't tell completely, and I can't find the link now. You have a choice of 3 differnet "Styles" with the fairy princess being the least fussy.
I'm sure my 5 1/2 YO and will be 4 YO will love this! DH is not so thrilled (HE is still flipping out about the make up for the 5YO"s dance recital!) I have showed him the pix I saw and when I told him I was making ressy's, he didn't object!

visiting the mouse in August!!
We just did it over Easter! My dd 6½yo just loved it. We did the whole big package (i really hadn't intended to, but when i called for the ressie, i just couldn't help myself). It's not cheap, but it was something you sort of can't put a price on.
I called as soon as they started taking reservations (in march). When you call, if you do the big package where they get a princess outfit, they want to know which princess and shoe size on the phone. When we checked in, there was a line. They were telling people it would be 3 hours, or the next day if they didn't have a reservation. I imagine it's only going to get busier. They did light blue eye shadow and maybe a lip gloss and maybe a little blush. it wasn't too much at all. they did the fancy fake hair piece and did the girls hair too, and did fake nails. the girl picks blonde, brown or black for the fake hair. OH, the girl also picks one of three types of style they'll do (classic princess, princess diva or pop princess (i think). then you walk over to a place to get professional pics taken. it was soooo cute!!!! if i knew how to show you her pic, i'd would but i don't know how to.
we really enjoyed it! just do it before your dd is too old and she won't want to anymore.

We did it last night (we have internet in our condo). Well, I thought it was worth the $$. We chose the crown package (hair, makeup & nails). My dd will be 6 in June. We arrived to check in, and they took us right then, no wait. They handed Meredith her "invitation"; her name was printed on the front. She had the choice to pick from 3 looks: Pop Princess, Disney Diva and Fairy-tale Princess. We chose the latter. Let me say, whatever the others in there chose, I didn't like. I'm guessing it was Diva, but I don't think the Pop is much different than Diva. It was way too gawdy for me!
Fairy-tale was very tastefully done. They put her hair up in a bun, then stuck a little crown with a comb attachment in the front of the bun, and a Mickey rhinestone pin in the back. She got to choose from 3 colors for the crown. Then, they did the makeup. She had several pastel shades to choose from for eyes, lips and cheeks. In fact, after she finished, I had to ask her to put more on the eyes because Meredith couldn't see it. She then spread "pixie dust" (i.e. sparkles) that was in a wand over her head. So cute!
Lastly, she asked if she wanted fake nails or just polish. We chose polish because I'd read on allears that the fake ones fall off quickly. The polish was very pale, but it sparkled. She also gave her the fake nails to take home, as well as the makeup she didn't use (they open up a new pack for each child).
I have to comment on the salon. It is so pretty! Smaller than I imagined. There are 10 chairs, and they can do that many at once, but there were a few empty. Oh, I forgot to mention that the child gets a banner like beauty contestants wear that says "princess".
She looked beautiful! On allears, they recommended to do this early in the day so that your child can walk around like this. I wasn't going to spend one of our precious mornings for this, but I'm glad that we went around DTD and to the Rainforest Cafe to show her off. She had several people to comment.
HTH!

Thank you all SOOO much for your input. I HAVE to do this now...I would love to do the big package, but I just don't know. She has every princess dress there is except for Snow White, so maybe we will just do the $45 pkg. OHHH I am so excited. Now I just have to figure out which day to book it on. I need to get the map back out to figure out a game plan. This is our first trip, so we are completely overwhelmed with details. Our flight gets in around 1030am, then off to POR to pick up the park tickets..then we head to MK for most of the day, and then Chef Mickey that night; Storybook Princess at Epcot the next morning. The plan is to stay all day at Epcot, or take a break mid-day back at POR; 3rd day will be MGM, ADR at Sci-Fi theater for dinner; 4th day at AK- ADR at Donald's Breafastasaurus. Last day is free at this point. hmmmmm...what to do!!
Again, thank you all for the info! I just hope it's available now :)

I would do it either on your MGM or AK day. Having just experienced these with younger kids, I think that would be the best days. I can't remember when you're going, though. If it's during a busier time of year, this might not work.
My point is when didn't spend whole days at either of these parks. At AK, we did Donald's at 8:15 am. Here's what all we did afterward: Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Maharajah Jungle Trek, Flights of Wonder, watched street performers, safari, Pangani trail, the Boneyard. We left at 3 pm. We skipped some stuff that we've done before because we were very tired and hot. At MGM, we got there at park opening and left about 3 pm. This park has soooo many shows. My kids (ds is 8, dd almost 6) got tired of watching show after show, so we headed back to the room to swim; great for them.
Ok, as I'm typing this, I'm thinking if you're planning to go back to either of these parks, then I wouldn't do BBB on those days. Is your dd the kind who needs a break, or can she go, go, go? Mine need a break. We could have done this on our 1st or 2nd day, when they were relatively rested, but by day 3, they were worn out and getting y later in the day. We HAD to take a break or have a complete meltdown.
This has probably just confused you, and I'm sorry! Just consider taking breaks, and figure them into your day. I can't tell you how many kids I saw that were crying, and it seemed to me that it was because they were so tired. Those mean parents wouldn't let them stop!

mention of helpful websites pertaining to planning vacations are always helpful, just be mindful not to make it a direct link. In this example saying 'at our laughing place (dot com) there is a tool that shows you how long from point A to point B. If you have trouble finding it, email me and I;ll send you the link' would be totally acceptable.
And now back to real and all to time consuming life.....
