a few questions on traveling to WDW

We are arriving on June 4th and plan on doing a walmart run for snacks, milk, and drinks ect Does anyone know the best way to get from All Star Music to Wal-Mart? Is there a shuttle or do I need to call a cab? Does anyone know about how much cab fare is?

I haven’t traveled with a toddler in 9 years so I am forgetful hehe… we have 2 1-1.5 hour plane rides is there anything I can bring along to help her get through the plane ride? It will be just me and the kids from here to Atlanta where we will be meeting my sisters flight and all be going from there to Orlando. I did buy an extra seat because I knew she would be a wiggle worm if I tried to hold her. She is at the weight requirements for a booster seat and I am trying to figure out if that would be a better way to go just for the trip… I know its going to be hard lugging around heavy car seat, stroller, carry on bag, Nate’s neblizer 32 pound kid ect lol… I know I will have Nate there but many times he isn’t much help if you can relate to my 10 year old. But can you recommend anything else I can do or bring with us to make the trip better I don’t want her to be the kid who cries the whole flight and everyone cringes at.

And I guess we will be taking the shuttle to IOA what am I supposed to do with her carseat? Lug it around or are the lockers at IOA big enough? And how big are the lockers at Disney? Big enough for a large backpack? We was thinking of bringing 2 backpacks of a things we need throughout the day and was wondering if they will fit in a locker.. Also are the lockers pay one price for the day and get into as many times as you want or are they the kind where you pay each time you take out the key.

I can help with a few ideas for keeping your little one busy on the plane! I did not bring my little one's carseat last year and just held her during the 1.5 hour flight.

My youngest LOVES to color, so I had a sandwich bag with index cards. A small box of crayons. What kept her most busy though was a big book of stickers. It was only a few dollars at Target and was a GREAT buy! She had a blast putting the stickers on index cards. I ended up sharing pages of stickers and cards with some crabby toddlers in front of us.

Jelly Belly jelly beans were a big hit, too. Audrey was too little for gum, and the jelly beans kept her ears from hurting too much, and they were a real novelty.

My older kids were so happy with the satellite radio on our flight, I did not have to worry about them at all! I did have some little odds and ends for them, but they brought Disney books to keep themselves occupied on our short flight.

The lockers at Disney are a pretty good size. We kept sweatshirts and a few odds and ends in one for our family of 6, no problem. You pay once, and you get some deposit money back at the end of the day when you turn in your key.

Have a great trip!

You won't need a car seat on the shuttle. For the most part they are "old" coach buses. No seat belts.

Skip Walmart go to Publix, it's closer, cleaner and the people are nicer. You would need to call a cab, I recently saw a website that had typical cab fares, I'll dig it out for you Sunday afternoon (tomorrow we'llbe all day in Williamsburg and Sun am is the family thing)

Stickers and color wonder products are great for toddlers. Also my two toddlers LOVE travel magna doodles.

There's no shuttle from Disney property to Universal or Universal Islands of Adventure so you'll either need to take a cab or rent a car. It would probably be MUCH cheaper to rent a car for the day and then you can keep your car seat in it while you play.

The lockers are a decent size, they remind me of middle and high school. You pay one price for the entire day's rental, including if you go to a different park on that same day you just show your reciept and can get a new locker there w/o paying again.
