Baby / Kid Swap at rides????

Ok...I've read something about where we (dh and myself) can take turns on rides if we have younger children that cannot ride a particular ride. How exactly does this work? In honesty, my oldest ds (10yrs) will not want to ride any scary rides that my dh and I will want to do. Dh and myself are willing to ride by ourselves if we have to. Can we do this do you think where we do not have to go back in line?

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated... we leave 6/8!!
:)

Before I explain baby swap, let me tell you what we did this time. My dh and I both wanted to ride Expedition Everest, but our 2 kids (ages 8 and almost 5) did not. So, we let them wait with us in line. Then when the CM asked "how many", we told him that the kids didn't want to ride. He directed them to the gift shop, where they waited less than 5 minutes for us to ride. We loved doing this! It's the first time that we did it, and the kids were fine. Many rides, especially all of the big ones, have gift shops that the ride exits into. I also did this for Rock 'n Roller Coaster. I thought that ds wanted to ride, so we stood in line for about 15 mins. He stressed the whole time; I didn't want to deliver him to my dh and then have to start all over. So that's the first time I asked a CM what to do, and he said for him to wait for me in the gift shop. Again, he was fine with this.

Ok, baby swap. When you get to the entrance for the ride, you tell the CM that you want to do the baby swap. He/she will give you a fastpass-like ticket. He/she will then instruct you what to do. It's different at each ride, so be sure to ask the CM out front how to do it.

Thanks..! We will have to do the swap thing for sure, because we will have a 10yr old, 5yr old and 3 yr old. So leaving them at the gift shop really isn't an option for us...I am just thrilled we can actually ride the fun rides ourselves. Thanks for letting me know to ask up front ~~ I will do this!
Thanks,
Dina

We have an 11yo and a 2 yo. Our 11 yo loved this because she rode everything twice ina row and didn't have to wait to get on it the 2nd time! Just make sure you tell them at the entrance to the line. We waited once till we got all the way to the ride and it was really confusing!

Thanks so much for everyone's info. I feel a little better now, knowing that this service exists in some form...I'll check I guess at each ride-either at the front or near the actual ride each time.
