Hi everyone! I have been a Disney passholder for seven years and go at least once a month since I live in Tampa. Well, I am 6 weeks pregnant and going for the first time on Sunday to Star Wars Weekends at MGM. It will be a 12 hour day walking in 90 degree heat. I'm wondering if I shouldn't be doing it at all or just stay hydrated and cool and I'll be fine? Anyone have experience going to Disney pg? I am new to this!!

First, congratulations on your pregnancy! I do not have any experience with visiting WDW pregnant but I know we have several board members who do - hopefully they will be along shortly with their tips and suggestions. In the meantime, I found two fairly recent posts from others who were planning trips to both WDW and DL while pregnant; here are links to those threads as you may find some good advice posted there:

Hi! Congrats on your pregnancy. Well, I am also a passholder and we live in St. Petersburg. If you are feeling great at this stage in your pregnancy, I think you could go and have fun as long as you take plenty of breaks and drink tons of water. I would definitely make sure you have a reservation for lunch and/or dinner somewhere. We were at MK Mothers Day weekend and it was hot, about 7 degrees hotter than the Tampa/St.Pete area. I have been to WDW and Busch Gardens preggo, just make sure whoever you are going with is understanding of your needs.

Best Wishes - Ashli

I went to DW newly pregnant in 1994. I think I was about 10 or 12 weeks, something along those lines. It was October, and still pretty hot. The heat didn't bother me that much. We took it slow, ate healthy snacks and drank plenty of water. I rested often.

What really bothered me was morning sickness. And food aversions. We did the Luau which totally made me ill. I couldn't stomach the food. We also did a character breakfast, and I couldn't eat more than strawberries, after having thrown up all morning.

As long as you are physically feeling pretty good, then I think you'll be fine. Just take it easy and drink that water!

Thank you all for your replies and help. I will check out those links. Because I have BTDT at Disney so much, I will make sure to take it easy.
