Another question about traveling from resort to resort... We will be driving to Orlando and will have our car... so I really should drive from resort to resort (to have meals with ADRs) right? There should not be a fee to park right? I know you must pay to park at the parks (been there done that.. staying on propery this time to avoid it), but not at the resorts, right?
I have been a little worried about this but just figured that the easiest way is to just drive to the resort we will be eating at. I will be planning where we eat according to what park we will be in on that day, but did want to try the Bar-b-que at FW and a place at Animal Kingdom Lodge (I think).
Thanks guys!
Josette

The only other resort we've driven to for dinner is The Boardwalk. We've never had to pay. We are DVC members and upon check-in at Old Key West, they give us a pass to stick on the dashboard. I'm pretty sure that allows you to park at the other Disney resorts. I'm not entirely sure on that, but like I said, we've never paid at The Boardwalk.

Since you're staying on-site, you will not have to pay to park at the parks. Your resort will give you a special parking pass and you can park free at any of the parks.
At the resorts, as far as I know, you can park for free, even if you're not staying on-site. However, you'll have to check in and let them know why you are there. If it's to eat, you let them know that, if it's for anything else, just let them know (for example, we've been to Ft. Wilderness for the petting zoo/pony rides and we've been to Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house at Christmastime). You will be allowed to park for about 1-2 hours maximum (they jot down your license plate number, and possibly your driver's license number).

I know in some respects it's probably easier to use your own car, especially when travelling from one resort to anothe.
