I read this little blurb in my allears newsletter and thought it was worth mentioning for families with boys (although I'm sure there may be some girls out there interested in it, too!LOL):
"The new live pirate training show featuring Captain Jack Sparrow is set to begin July 7 and will run through the end of August 2006. Kids will be invited to join in the fun, interactive performance at various times daily in front of the Magic Kingdom's Pirates of the Caribbean. More news about changes to both the WDW and the Disneyland attractions will be announced on the official site here: http://destinations.disney.go.com/parksandresorts/pirates/index ."

We'll miss that too, but I thought I'd include a little funny.
I'm going down in January with my DS (5), DD (8) and neice (4). I asked all of them which they would rather do: have breakfast in the castle with the princesses (they've all done this) or do the Pirate Cruise at Grand Floridian. The two GIRLS chose the pirates while my BOY chose the castle! And he is a boy's boy too. I think he liked it because all the pricesses made a HUGE fuss over him (he was in a Prince Phillip costume...).

Thanks for the heads-up, Val, we will check it out...not that we needed anything else to do while at MK! ;-)

This is awesome! DS will be 10 in July and was always into Pirates. We will be going to the movie in July and WDW in August. I'm trying to steer clear of Princesses (ewww).
I vaguely remember reading something else about a Pirate show in Orlando. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
Thanks,
Mary
There is a pirate dinner show in Orlando-- http://www.piratesdinneradventure.com/home.html
