Hi all,

Welcome!
Your son is definitely not too YOUNG to enjoy Disney. In fact, there is very little that he won't be able to partake in. He can do all of the things that any age can do (which is MOST of the parks), but he can also go on some of the "big rides" like Splash Mt, Big Thunder Mt., Space Mt., Expedition Everest, Soarin', Test Track, Mission: Space, Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids, Star Tours, Tower of Terror.
The only things that his height will limit him from are driving alone on the Speedway (if an adult does the pedal, he can steer), Primeval Whirl (48 in.), and Rock N Roller Coaster (48 in.). You'll still need to use your discretion to decide if the other rides are okay for him.

4.5/5 is a great age. Each age brings it's own magic to the trip, but I do want to offer one peice of advice. When you are at Disney, don't *look* for the wow moment - live in it. I would hate to think that you're there with your son but you're not really there becuase you're to busy waiting for him to have his moment instead of having a fabulous family vacation.;-( It will come and you will be there for it, but you want to be part of it. It sounds as if your son just has a different way of expressing himself than jumping up and down shouting with glee.
Chiming in with the others. Your son is NOT too young! there is magic there for every age.
both my children were my son was 18 months and my daughter 2 years old for their first trips.
I believe that every age brings a different experience.

He'll be at the perfect age and there's plenty he'll be able to do.
oi- that's what I get for not re reading what I write! The girls were watching an old Mickey Mouse cartoon this am to keep them occupied - lots of Goofy 'yahoohoooey' and messing things up. It's Grand Adventures with Cooking. So Sorry - no Goofy. It's been one of those interesting days here wher eI only get about 2 minutes to myself at a time. Here's the link for those who don't have it http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/grandadven.htm
