Whispering Canyon & DME-enough time?

Anyone want to offer an opinion for my plan for my Oct trip:

Do you think this is planning it to close or should I go for it.

I have Whispering Canyon lunch at noon. This is the earliest seating for this meal.

DME will pick me up at Pop Century at 1:40.

That is pretty tight, you don't really want to have to rush through lunch worrying about making it back in time for the DME bus.

Allowing an hour for lunch is reasonable which gives you only 40 mins to get back to Pop with at least one change of buses.

Hmm.. any chance you could get on DME at WL? instead of having to go all the way back to Pop?

You would think DME should be able to pick you up anywhere if you are on a participating airline and don't have to get your luggage - but no, I asked two different people - DME and Guest Services - and both said pick up has to be at the resort you are staying at.

I had considered the taxi option Val suggested, although you are like me making things more complicated that it had to be, I only have to get to MK and then can take the bus from there to Pop, I don't have to go to AK or any other park. Although I've heard complaints that the WL boat to MK was slow, wondered if it would be faster to take a bus to Epcot and then bus from Epcot to Pop.

I had thought, as Val said, that being the earliest time we should be able to be seated right at noon if we are early and lunch shouldn't be as long as dinner. So while I usually do plan on an hour I thought maybe less. Then again, we've never been to Whispering Canyon and I don't want us to cut the experience short because we're worried about time.

My alternate plan is a late bkfast that day at Ohana instead. And then earlier in the week we have Liberty Tree Tavern before MNSSHP. I could cancel Liberty Tree and put Whispering Canyon there. I've tried to leave that afternoon open to allow plenty of time to relax and change at the resort before the party so we could make that. What attention would we get if we go to WC in costume?!?!

They told me my time would be 3 hours before. In the past, if I were driving, I never would have left the park that early even though I would have to check in luggage.

However with the new security screenings I don't know that I'd want to push the time too much.

That's tight. Very tight. We left Down Town Disney an hour before

Well even though Thurs Disney told me DME pickup was 3 hours before, Mon on mouseplanet they are reporting that it's been moved up to 4 hours so that decides it.

We're going to do a late Ohana bkfast instead.

Thanks for the advice though.

It was still 3 hours on Sunday Aug 21st when we left, but I think you'll feel more relaxed and comfortable with a breakfast anyways. I *hate* that rushed feeling. It totally throws off my mood and makes it hard for me to enjoy anything.
