From what I understand, a travel agent should not charge you anything. If you want a TA to do a WDW trip, make sure to find one that is a Disney Specialist. This means they have been through the "Disney College of Knowledge" and they know what they're talking about. Otherwise, they're just telling you things they don't have a clue about. You WDW package quote should be exactly the same as a quote you get from Disney's website, or over the phone with Disney.

Here is a link to their website: http://www.boscovstravel.com/Disney/?SECTION=13

It states on there that they are an authorized Disney Vacation Planner, so I wonder if that qualifies them?

If you are using Magical Express, you don't need a car. If you are on the fence, I'd skip the car and save yourself some $$. Unless you plan to go offsite, you won't need it. We "used" to rent a car, in the "old days"....until we found Tiffany Town Car and used their car service to get back and forth from MCO. Then Magical Express started, and we used it last trip with no problems. When we used to rent a car, we never used it. It just sat in the lot of our resort....lots of money wasted!

Disney's transportation system is quite efficient, despite what some people might say about it. I'm one of those people who takes waiting in stride at Disney. I mean, it's Disney, how bad can it get?? LOL

P.S. Are you in PA? There aren't alot of Boscov's around in other states, so just curious? I'm in the Lehigh Valley...

Yes I am in PA, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Area. The only reason we would rent a car is because we were planning on going to Universal this time, other than that I agree there is no need for a car with the buses/etc..

I'm in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area too. Since when has Southwest flown out of Avoca? Or are you driving to Philly, Newark or Allentown? We're going down in January and I'm still pricing flights. I'd *LOVE* to get there at 10:30am - but don't like having to leave a far-out airport at 6am. ;-)

This time I planned everything myself (renting DVC points) but I've always used Abington Travel (in Clarks Summit - Elaine in particular) and always very happy with the results.
