Anyone else going?

Was wondering where they are putting you up? We don't yet have any accommodations.....

And how you're flying? We don't yet have air plans!

I'm not sure I follow your question. The only accomidations included with the cruises are your stateroom. You'll be staying on the ship during your cruise. All stops are port locations and day excursions having you back onboard by 7 on most exursions, 1130 at Villefranche.

If you are flying in early you or your travel agent are responsible for finding you accomidations in Barcelona before the cruise. You can book your air on your own or through Disney.

Yes - that's really what i was asking ----

the BEFORE (& after?) accommodations - in Barcelona.

And the airfare to & fro. So i guess Disney doesn't have anything "standard" as far as those things - really just the cruise itself?

No, they don't have anything set up for that. They just sell the cruise, and can also do your airfare if you wanted them to, but often you'll be able to find a better deal yourself.

I can look up some names of hotels for you if you want. And don't forget you'll also want to budget for transfers from the airport to the hotel or port and back. You have to be on the ship by 9pm the first day of your cruise, they prefer before 4 pm so you can have all of your check in stuff done. But it looks like it's a 12 hour flight from the East Coast to Barcelona so if you scheduled it right you could sleep on the flight and avoid the hotel all together.

Oh and don't forget those passports! Everyone in your party has to have one. They take 6-8 weeks standard, sometimes it can be a smidge longer, so don't delay on getting that started.

They're new. I don't know how long they will continue, right now it's just next summer. If demand is there they might expand. They tested West Coast cruises last year, but I haven't heard anything about that. The Disney Cruise Line website is currently down, but you can keep checking it for details. They have 10 & 11 day iteneraries and 2 14 day transatlantic cruises to get there and back. I'll email you a flier.

edit- ivillage email won't allow attachments. Drop me a line using the email in my sig and I'll email it out to you.
