Hopefully don't want to spend too much more than already spent.

We're leaving Monday (with our two boys, ages 3 and 7). The air, hotel (Caribbean Beach), 4-day park hopper tickets, dining plan, magic express all included.

May buy a couple souvenirs but not much. Trying to limit it.
May bring some breakfast snacks for room to avoid brkfst in parks some a.ms

Your thoughts???

It would probably help if you decided what kind of souvenir budget you were comfortable with for the whole trip and then divided the money up and allocated a ball-park figure per day. Some days you may spend more, some days less but at least that way you can keep a bit of a handle on what you spend.

You mentioned that you were on the dining plan, one thing I discovered last year is that you can use your CS and snack credits to get breakfast type stuff from the counter service restaurant at your resort, small ceral boxes, milk, fruit etc. I did that for a couple of mornings and it was very handy.

When we went in June we was on a pretty tight budget. I brought 140 a day for the 8 days we was there and we was not on the dining plan so that had to include not only drinks and snacks but eating for me and the 2 kids. Whatever money was left over went into the souvenir envelope that we spent on the last day. There was only 1 day we actually spent it all and that’s because what we had left over I ordered pizza delivery. We usually had anywhere from 20-40 bucks left over and one time when we ended up sleeping most of the day and didn’t get to the parks until 4 we actually had 70. You can do it on a tight budget you just have to set it to mind what you are going to spend. We had 8 envelopes with the money and each day got 1 once it was gone that was it no more anything. I did give the kids 10 bucks each (out of the 140) to have as their money incase they wanted a drink or snack they didn’t have to bug me for money. Also we went to walmart and bought some things for the hotel im kinda iffy about doing this again unless we decide to drive. a lot of the stuff went to waste and the cab ended up costing us 35 to and fro. I could have spent the money and just bought us breakfast snacks. But this was just in our case we are not big on eating as soon as we wake up and we wanted to hurry to the parks so we didn’t waste our day. I hope some of this helps

I always have a hard time giving a dollar figure for how much someone should bring - it changes from family to family.
