Park Hoppers - slower time of year ?
| Mon, 03-19-2007 - 12:14am |
Hi, newbie here!
I don't have the dates for our trip yet, but I know we will be going when kids are IN school so the slower time of the year. The parks will probably be closing earlier at that time so I'm wondering if it is worth it to buy the park hopper option? Is it $180 for a family of four? We have only been to WDW- Magic Kingdom for one day trips in the past....this time we will go for 7 nights....I'm thinking we could go to one park a day and then repeat some.
thank you in advance for your help.

Personally, we always want park hoppers and we prefer the slower time of year. Epcot is ALWAYS open until 9 (9:30 in late November through December), so we'd always end at Epcot...usually going to Epcot (our favorite) every day.
The only park we can handle staying at for a whole day is MK. Epcot is too tiring to make an entire day of (although we do the equivalent of 2-3 days each trip), and AK & MGM we just prefer doing half days.
Good luck with your decision.

Hi - and congrats on your upcoming trip!
We always visit Disney in an off time (usually December) - and we are not a park hopper family. We tried it a few times, but we just don't like to waste our time riding from one place to another during the day.
It really is a personal choice. If you're a family that wants to take a mid-day break at the resort (we don't), then you might like breaking up the day with a different park after that time. We like to stay all day in one park, taking it easy.....no rushing. It works for us. We'd feel more rushed and anxious transferring parks or riding back and forth to the resort during the day.....especially with the earlier closing times.

We also like to park hopper and have never gone without them.
That's what I'm planning on doing. I don't have the money right now(trip has to be paid off by April 23) so I plan to add park hopper when we get there if I think we'll need it. When we went 5 years ago we had it and NEVER used it. It rained 7 hours straight everyday and we had 4 kids under 6. This time we have 6 kids, only 2 of them are under 6 adn my mom is coming with us. I think the parkhoppers would come in handy for DH and I and the older kids this time.
