OK, so my brain is working overtime in dream phase. (Hi Becky!!!!!! LOL) We've moved into the 95+% sure that we're going to do the 7 day Costa Maya Disney Cruise. I am now thinking that I will take the girls to WDW for 3 days 4 nights either before or after the trip myself, no dh. I'm leaning towards before, but it depends on the Halloween Party schedule. The cruise is Sept 27-Oct 4.

This one is hard for me Sonya. This is how I would do it...........

It will be pulling teeth to get my dh to consider a cruise especially paying for five people........So once I got him to go on the cruise I would go with the cheapest hotel which is the all stars. I wouldn't want to push my luck with dh if you kwim. However my first non monetary consideration would be the Wilderness Lodge. I love the theming and the boat ride to the MK. :)

Have fun dreaming..........I am still on the fence about our trip in November.........

Since you are going alone with the 3 girls I would choose one of the monorail resorts.

:-) Well, Natalie, we had originally planned to go on a cruise for our 5th anniversary. We're celebrating 10 years this May if that says anything! LOL Everytime we've discussed it it's been what if and sure check out the cost. And of course our family jumped from a family of 3 to a family of 5 in one year, so that definately added to the wait. This is the first time that we've looked at the cost early enough to not be completely shocked (or we're just used to it!) and that we've been in a place where we could probably do it. And Meg will be 3 which was a big requirement of mine.

Wait - don't make your decision yet....you're always so good with advice we want to make sure you have a long string of responses - everyone is dying to give you advice!!!

I would definitely say Poly - especially if it's just you and the girls. The monorail makes it so easy - plus you've already been to the Contemporary...you need to try out all the resorts. When I went with just my girls it was great staying there - the zero-entry pool will be great for the little ones, and the atmosphere is fantastic (just don't try the surrey bike with little kids and no DH - it was WAY too much work!!) If you're not going to go for a monorail resort than I would pick POFQ as the next choice.

As far as when to do it, I think before the cruise would be better - that way you can really kick back and relax on the boat.

Of course my REAL opinion is that whenever and wherever you choose it's going to be a great trip!

Wilderness Lodge....I've always wanted to stay there. If cost isn't an issue, then that would be it for me!

Sonya,
My vote is for the Wilderness Lodge, hands down!!!

We've stayed there twice, the most recent being last May, and it is one of our all-time favorites. The theme is awesome, the pools are fabulous, and we loved the boat ride to MK, too! And whispering Canyon Cafe was sucha big hit with the kids (and us!) that we're making a special trip to eat there when we go in a few weeks even though we're staying at BCV this time.

Happy Planning!!!!

POFQ or Poly garden for me. I haven't stayed at either but I'd love to and the others on your list don't really appeal to me.

What a fun thing to plan - but if we are really talking fantasy here and you will be by yourself with all 3 girls perhaps you should consider a nanny? or at least an occasional sitter so that you and your oldest can go do something while the little ones sleep.

If it was me, here is my list from most desired to least:

Poly Garden, CR, WL, POFQ, and All Stars/Pop.

In two weeks I'll be staying a week at WL, so my opinion of its placement may change after that. I'm not a fan of POFQ (prefer POR) or the values.

If we're dreaming, I'd pick the Contemporary or Poly.
