Merrell Sandals and Baggallini Bags....

Any opinions on either?
I need some new slide sandals for our trip. I am NOT a socks and shoes kinda girl. I need some comfy sandals but not Crocs (I do have the knock-off flip flops, and I'll bring those along, but I want another pair of regular slide sandals too). I've been looking at the Merrell slides, but they are pricey. Anyone have a pair? Do you like them?
Also, my Vera backpack has seen better days, and I need a new bag to hold my stuff in the parks. I'm looking at the Baggallini. Anyone have one of these? Opinions? Are they bulky? Comfortable to wear? etc.
Thanks for any opinions!
Marcy

In the summer I live in Teva's and flip flops unless there's a reason for sneakers. (and reasons vary!) My Teva's were great at the parks also.
I've glanced at the Baggallini bags since I see them mentioned all over another board as a 'must have', but I gotta say, I don't see the appeal. The organization is great, but most bags have that now, and some of the prices seem unreal! I'll admit to never actually putting my hands on one, and I will definately pay for quality, but I'm not a 'bag' or 'tote' or 'purse' person. LOL So maybe I'm not the one to ask.
I'm not a socks & shoe person either, especially in the summer time! I had a pair of Sketchers slide sandals a couple of years ago when I was pregnant, & they were fabulous for the parks. They're reasonable - around $36 usually. I was 5 months pregnant, and we walked all day for 3 full days of parks - no problem. It's the ones called Energy - Clouds, they come in white and black. Here's a link: http://www.skechers.com/catalog/browse.do?function=displayProductList&gender=W&catId=4&index=3&viewAll=false&sort=popular&prodId=9239&styleCode=46252
If it doesn't work, go to www.sketchers.com, womens, sandals and they are on page 4 at the bottom. Most stores carry them. Or maybe you can cut and paste the link info into your browser address bar just to take a look at them.
As for bags, we're still pushing a stroller, so that takes care of that. We fill the basket underneath and hang stuff all over it - barely any room for my kiddo!!
Have fun.
I have tried all different bags, and my favorite:

It's just the easiest to open and close, and I organize inside with clear bags so it's easier for security.
This one seems nice, too:

I am not one to spend a lot of money on a bag for Disney, as they take a beating. These are made well and inexpensive.
I have Merrell flip flops that are VERY comfy, but I haven't worn them to the parks. For December trips (which have been the past 4), I'm usually in socks and shoes because it gets chilly at night. In the summer, I'd wear the Merrells.

I have a baggalini and love it! I have been using it as a diaper bag/purse for the last year and a half. Three o fmy friends have gone and bought them after looking at mine and they love them. I did use this bag at WDW last year when my daughter was still in diapers and it worked great for 12 hour days. I probably carried 5 diapers, an extra outfit, extra shoes for her, snacks, a sippy cup, plus all my necessities like wallet, phone, bandaids, wipes, hand sanitizers.

I carry the messenger bag one. It is not bulky at all. I love it because it doesn't fall off my shoulder when I am holding my daughters hand or bending down to do something for her like my one shoulder bags or purses do.
HTH!

I have problems with my feet and needed a pair of shoes that would be comfortable and would keep me from being dead on my feet by the end of the day. My best friend talked me into coughing up the $32 for a pair of Skecher sandals (I almost choked), and I have to say that was probably the best money I've EVER spent on shoes. We did Epcot all day, and my feet weren't even tired by the end of the day.
Thanks for all of the feedback everyone! I went ahead and ordered the Merrell Palmetto slides. I never splurge on shoes for myself (usually do the Payless thing!) but I figure I deserve it! LOL
I'm going to check out the Baggalini messenger bag at AAA. I like the idea of having multiple pockets and a bottle pocket on the outside. I figure once I bond with it and try it on, I'll know if it's right for me!
Thanks again!

Hi Marcy...
Merrells are a great choice of shoes..although I didn't wear mine at Disney last year.
Laura,
You got me!! I followed your link to the Baggallini Messenger bag and I thought it looked so cool!
I went to WDW this past Jan. for a week and I bought a pair of Teva's the Ventura cork. They were brand new when I took them and I wore them everyday for 12 hour days and they were great even though they were new.
