Lost my mind? or one of the club?

For the last two months I have been obsessed with planning my families very first trip to WDW - I went once for two days in 1977 when I was 6. Dh has been very helpful with decision making and tolerating all my ADR changes. Listens attentively to every little tip I find on the web. But the other day I think I took it too far for even him. I was in the Disney Store and saw a hot pink golf shirt with Tinkerbell on it. I had to have it. I could just picture myself in it with a cute little white skirt, walking around MK... I had to have it! Well, I brought it home and dh took one look at it and told me I had finally crossed the line, or lost my mind... didn't matter which one! LOL!

I have to say, I think I agree. This planning has taken over my life. I'm jotting down things to remember on lists everywhere. I'm buying books. I'm reading websites and reviews of hotels and restaurants continuously. I even tried to talk him into buying 10 day tickets with no expiration for 'when we go back' and we haven't even been once yet!

So, have I lost my mind? Or am I just like the rest of you all now??

; )

Oh Laura, thanks for the laugh! What a fun post. And for what it's worth....I have a drawer-full of Disney clothing, and I'm not afraid to wear it anywhere and everywhere. My friends roll their eyes.

Fortunately for me, my husband is a bigger Disney freak than I am. So I can get my fix online AND at home. If the Disney bug bites you, it's hard to explain to those who have yet to be bit (if ever).

Have fun planning, and don't worry. WE think you're normal. :)

Welcome to the club! I have to say, that your OCD planning will pay off when you go on your trip. You will be SO glad you've learned what you have. If you end up loving WDW as much as some of us do here, you'll be planning your next trip on the first day of your upcoming trip!

Have fun, and the pink golf shirt sounds adorable! You'll be glad you got it at home, because you'll see others in WDW that will cost you $10 more! You can tell your DH you're saving money! LOL (I have a navy blue Mickey polo...bought it on disneyshopping. com for our upcoming trip!)

I'm in the same boat as you Laura! We just decided a few weeks ago to take our first trip and ever since then I've been thinking non-stop Disney! I know my poor DH is getting tired of it- even my DD8 told me I was thinking about it too much since we're not going until December. What's really funny is that those polos are starting to grow on me and I HATE branded clothes like that. I've always thought the disney clothes- for kids or adults- was too "hokey" and I'd never buy it. But now that we're planning our trip and being surrounded by disney stuff, it's starting to look kinda cute.

I think we've been bitten by the Disney-hype bug. Best of luck with your planning!

Nope, you haven't lost your mind, you're completely as sane as the rest of us! It's those "other" kind of people, you know, the ones who don't work on their plans constantly, that have lost it. They have no clue how massive and fun this addiction is!!!

BTW, you *aren't* suggesting that the rest of us have lost our minds, are you?
