Sick kids?

This is a what if question because my DS came down with the flu yesterday and we are 11 days away from our trip.

What do you end up doing when one of the kids gets sick? Have a parent and the sick kid hang out at the resort, or take them to the park and do what they can? I suppose it depends on how sick they are. What about the ADRs? Can one parent get something to go if another parent is back at the resort with a sick kid?

Anyone have to radically change their plans due to someone in their party getting sick?

I feel for you! I am 8 days away from leaving and my 10 month old is getting over a nasty cold and teething and her daddy has been hacking for the past few days. I'm just waiting for one of the other kids to get sick! I am passing out the vitamin c daily. ;)

I have no idea about the ADR's and the to-go situation but I would call and ask. I don't see why they couldn't do that. Hopefully your son will be over it by your trip and noone else will get it!

Thinking positive thoughts for you

When we went recently, my 13 month old DD came down with a cold the day we left for Disney. I had packed a bag of medicine and a plug in vaporizer just in case, but I didn't think I would have to use it, LOL! She had a fever, cough and runny nose, but thankfully no throwing up or diarrhea. The cold then spread to me, my DD 7 and DS 5, but again, it was just a cough and stuffy/runny nose. We didn't alter our plans radically, but we did try to get more rest time than we had already planned. Thankfully, we were there during a slow time, so we still were able to see almost everything we wanted. A few times, DH and I split up so my youngest DD could get more rest at the hotel. I don't know about the ADR's, but I wouldn't think that would be a problem to get something to go as long as it wasn't a buffet.

Sending you and your family healthy vacation vibes!
Carol
