I liked the candy, the shorter ride lines, the lack of the hot beating sun, the parade and the fireworks.

We really enjoyed it on our last trip and are doing it again this time.

I like the whole party atmosphere, the shorter lines, rare characters appearing (last time we saw the Alice in Wonderland crowd)the dance party tent was fun for the kids and a hoot to watch, my dd was dancing in a group with 3 other Jasmines LOL!

Following the T&T trail was fun, dealing with all the candy we got afterwards - not so much! DD ended up taking a huge bag of it into school to share with her friends when we got back.

The Hallowishes fireworks were spectacular (or even spooktacular LOL!)

I think they only thing I didn't like so much was that there were only 2 table service restaurants open and we ate at Tony's and didn't really enjoy it - although it's a lovely restaurant to see and the servers were all dressed up and in the spirit, the service was poor and the food so-so.

We're booked at LTT this time - so I am looking forward to that.

We were there in October last time and it was hot and humid, it also rained early on so the first parade of the night was cancelled. I was hot in my vampire get up and the people wearing really elaborate costumes must have been melting!

Riding the rides dressed in costume was actually such a fun thing to do - it just added to the whole atmosphere.

The bus lines were looong afterwards (and the boat lines too I ahte to say) but pretty much everyone was in a good mood and it was a small price to pay for so much fun

Natalie,

The only thing you should consider is that October is still warm here in Florida. Most costumes that would do fine further up North would feel like your own personal sauna here in Florida. It MIGHT cool down a bit, but not enough for the usual furry costumes you see in the stores.

Ruth,

We avoid those here as well. It is usually too hot for it to be comfortable to wear costumes like that. Isabella's costume will be easy enough. She wears those in Florida in June. I am not sure about the boys. They have jedi and pirate costumes. I don't know that dh and I will dress up. We will keep this trip a surprise trip too. We shall see how difficult that is!

You guys should dress up too - it was fun.

We kept it simple, DH was a pirate in cut off jeans and an old stripey T-shirt, he bought a cutlass and some headgear at the POTC shop while we were there - he was comfortable all night - although the head scarf thing came off pretty fast. I wore a long sleeveless red dress, long sleeved black lace shirt and long black wig - both the wig and the shirt came off after about 20 mins!

DD was Jasmine in her pants and crop top outfit and she was fine.

We kept it a surprise too, I hid the costumes at the bottom of our bags.

Even easier to hide the costumes then LOL!

We are keeping our trip a surprise too - at least for now. I will most likely tell her after she goes back to school in September - since at that point I will have to tell her teachers too!
