base tickets?

Ok, I'M A LITTLE CONFUSED, ON DISNEY.COM, WHEN I TRY TO GET PACKAGE PRICES I CAN PUT IN HOWEVER MANY DAYS OF TICKETS I WISH TO PURCHASE, BUT THEN WHEN IT GOES TO THE NEXT PART, IT SAYS THE MAGIC YOUR WAY PACKAGE COMES WITH A BASE TICKET WHICH INCLUDES ENTRY TO ONE PARK PER DAY OF YOUR STAY? IS THAT RIGHT? SO WHY WOULD I BOTHER PURCHASING TICKETS, IF THE ROOM COMES WITH TICKETS ANYWAYS( AS LONG AS I DONT CARE ABOUT HOPPING)? I'M VERY CONFUSED SHOULD I JUST TYPE IN 1 DAY TICKET, AND ASSUME MY PACKAGE WILL COME WITH 1 TICKET FOR EVERY DAY OF MY STAY? TIA

I will try to explain this, but Sonya will do it more justice :)
When made out ressies for our Sept trip, I made reservations for 6 nights.
When you go to the WDW website and price things out you have 2 options - package or room only.
Room only is exactly that - JUST your room. When you're in the screen choosing and confirming your resort it will give you the option to add tickets - transforming your room only into a package. see below
a package is what the website and Disney Reservations default to. It includes at minimum by definition (the one you saw and confused you) your room and a 1 day base ticket.
When you select a package qoute, after choosing your dates,
If you get a package you choose how many days you want. You don't get a free day or anything just for choosing a package. There are a couple of things tossed in at no additional charge, but park admission is not one of them.
Here's how it's all worded on the TA site - it may or may not be the same that is on the regular site that caused your confusion. Let me know if it helps.
cl note - please take the caps lock off of your keyboard. It's considered yelling or shouting on msg boards when you type in all caps. - thanks.
No, it wasn't, and I figured you didn't know or didn't see it. There are some places on the web that will seriously flame and just get ugly for the whole caps lock thing.
